Beyond expectations
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I returned another TV and exchanged it for this one. I googled what brands make them and found that they are overstocks from LG, toshiba, Samsung or sharp. I am blown away by the features on this TV. Only $150 and Has all of the features I wanted and way more. There is no other television for this price that can do all of the things this one can. The quality is amazingly excellent and I recommend this highly. Any television 32 inches or below is totally fine at 720p. To pay extra for a 1080 is pointless because you cannot tell the difference unless you stand right up to the television. This is an excellent television for a bedroom. If you were considering buying anything else in this price range, forget about them and get this one. Another thing that is great is Best Buy handles the warrantee themselves.

Awesome TV plus some thoughts on setup and use
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off, I share the same very positive feedback others have posted. This is an awesome TV at a great price (especially the BFriday deal!) This is the 2nd one of these I've purchased. I bought one in the fall for my son's dorm room and now this one to replace our bedroom TV. The picture is great and the Roku features make it even more flexible for those of you who regularly use Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and Hulu. Having Roku built-in saves you having an extra box and makes for a more integrated experience. With that said, let me share that the setup of this TV requires you to go through the Roku setup, so there are a few extra steps you don't have with a standard TV. Once you get through those few steps (takes about 5-8 minutes while it downloads the Roku "channels" once you select them), you should be set to go. The only other thing that makes this TV operate differently from a standard TV is that you will need to select either your cable box (in my case) or Roku when you turn it on. I was able to easily program my Time Warner cable remote to operate this TV, but you will also need to keep the included remote nearby so you can navigate the opening menu when you first power on. In my case, once I use the TW remote to turn on the TV and cable box, I need to use the Insignia / Roku remote to choose the cable box. A small extra step, but not a big deal. This TV is also very light weight. It is so light, I set it directly on top of my TW cable box to make things more tidy on my dresser. It isn't necessarily stable this way, but there is enough of a base to make it work. I would not recommend it for families with small children, but in my case (older kids) I have no concerns other than if someone bumps the dresser hard, which I don't see as a likely scenario. Finally, the sound on this TV is very good - better than I expected. I bought the Insignia mini-soundbar to go with this thinking I would need it. So far I haven't connected it because the sound is decent enough in our MBR that I don't think I will need to add it. Keeping the sound bar a few more weeks just in case, but so far I am pleased with the quality of the audio. I am very happy with this TV and was thrilled when I got the Black Friday sale deal. This TV is an excellent value. I have several Insignia TVs, and for the price, would be hard pressed to spend the extra $ for a different brand with similar features.

Not as expected
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I guess you get what you pay for...however the picture quality and sound quality were just too much below par for my tastes. I think there are better choices out there.

Buyer Beware
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this tv and was disappointed that to watch anything other than tv ,most programs would be interrupted by Constant Buffering. But within 3 months it developed permanent black strips and was replaced. I've had my replacement a month or so and have watched 3 or 4 hours. Same story....Buffer..Buffer. the remote is odd -no right click, just up, down or left. No response to anything - just unplug and wait. What a waste.

ROKU is Worthless
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The so called smart tv doesn't have a web browser, you can only access streaming apps ROKU has preselected. Also there is a banner that pops up every 30 seconds telling you about the benefits of ROKU that block the left 1/3 of the screen, I've tried everything to get the banner to stop popping up and nothing has worked, don't buy this TV, spring the extra money for a comparable Samsung.

Posted .Thank you very much for your feedback, I am sorry to read about this inconveniences, since this TV is powered by Roku, it shows all of the streaming channels that Roku has available. In regards of the banner, actually it can be turned off by resetting the TV and selecting "Setup for home use" instead of "set up for store use", if you need further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us at https://www.insigniaproducts.com/contact-us Omar S. - Insignia Products Support.

Well worth the money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Cat broke my last tv. Shame on the cat! BAD KITTY! sassy. Boy cried. Wife yelled. Teen-aged girl rolled her eyes. Youngest girl cuddled the cat "...poor kitty..." I sighed. I told boy, "Boy, go online and find a good TV" Boy said, "Here's one dad...at BestBuy.com" Went to local Best Buy and found boy-recommended tv. Price was good. Features looked good. Bought it. Set new TV up and carefully drilled small holes in the stand legs. Screwed stand down to tv stand. Got everything hooked up and tv works well and looks great. Excellent picture. Plugged a thumb drive into the USB port and now I can pause antenna tv, rewind, and skip forward. Wife smiled. Boy's xbox looks great. Boy smiled. Teenaged girl rolled her eyes...too cool to be excited about tv. Went back to burying her head in her phone. Youngest girl cuddled the cat. "Poor little kitty...didn't mean it...accident" Cat meowed. Well done to the boy. He picked a good one.

Good TV at an excellent price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the TV on black friday for 99 dollars. The setup of the TV, wifi, roku accounts etc. was comparatively easy. Even though I never had a roku device before, the built in Roku was very easy to understand, and I got used to it very quickly. This is my first TV so I might not be a good judge on the picture quality, but it looks good to me. However, my only concern was the Roku TV sometimes gets sluggish, not responding for more than 30 seconds, and the system even crashed, and automatically rebooted on my first day. May be because I installed too many apps, or I was trying to use the Roku too fast than it could handle. Yes, I have updated the TV to the latest version, and it is not because of old software. After the first crash, I started using the Roku slower, giving it more time to react, such as pressing the arrow key one at a time, instead of continuously pressing the key to switch apps. It sees to work fine today. Overall, I am happy with the TV, my first smart TV, and at a very affortable price.

Poor Choice
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased for my elderly mother, because I thought it would be easy to use. It hasn't been. This is my worst purchase ever from BestBuy. It is past the 14day return policy due to my travel and work. Maybe if you are purchasing for self the learning curve would be easier. Bad purchase at this point.

Fantastic TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I tend to go for high end tv's (Samsung/Sony) but since this one was for my 7 year old's bedroom I didn't figure she'd even be able to notice the difference. I currently have 60" and 40" Samsungs and this thing is right there as far as vibrance and clarity. Speakers seemed pretty immersive for such a small tv as well. The best thing about it (especially for a kid) is how easy is to navigate, with roku and all of your inputs being all together in one home dashboard. I highly recommend this TV to anyone wanting a smaller, affordable TV for a kid and for those that want a good streaming experience on a budget.
