Don't do it
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this TV in July 2016. I bought it to mostly use for online streaming with Roku. It was fine in the first month but then everything went downhill. I thought maybe my internet speed was reduced, so I signed up for a higher speed but that didn't help. It started failing to connect to the internet completely. I reached out to Insignia customer support and they advised me to change my router channels. I switched to the channels that they recommended me but that didn't help. I tried to watch a one hour program and that took me about 1.5 hour cause of all the freezes. ' I wouldn't recommend anyone to but this TV. I wish I could still return it.

great tv for a great price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great picture quality. I bought this tv for the roku feature because I dont have cable set up yet and it is so convenient. I mainly watch netflix but there are so many things you can watch including live tv for some channels like abc and freeform if you have a cable subscription. Very convenient. Overall really happy with this purchase.

For the price, it does the job and more . . . .
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently got rid of cable (company charging way too much for cable boxes and remotes). I have now gone with an all smartTV lineup at home and I can't believe I waited this long. I purchased this smartTV for my bedroom. The picture looks very good, sound is adequate. The ROKU stick is the frosting on the cake. I have access to slingTV, Netflix, Youtube and other apps. The tv is super light and you can carry it with ease. In all, especially for the price, a homerun!

In a hurry to purchase
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picture quality good, easy setup, POOR volume. Speakers are in back. Had to turn volume up to 80 in order to hear the program. Stand for TV is flimsy and was awkward to install. TV now leans a little. I'm not a big TV watcher and therefore did not want to spend lots of money.

Surprisingly good right out of the box
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Our four-year-old smart TV was showing its age--half the apps were outdated or didn't work, so it was time for a new TV. I was a bit wary of going store brand, but the price was right and as I already have a stand-alone Roku on another TV in the house, I thought why not. Set up was very quick and the picture surprisingly good right out of the box. Adjusted sharpness and brightness and good to go. Once I signed into my existing Roku account, everything transferred over with the latest updates already in place. The sound, as many have said, is the main drawback and quite honestly the reason it's not getting five stars, but that was remedied with our sound bar. We do find the fact that the power light occasionally flashes during operation for a minute or two annoying, but according to the owner's manual, that means it's updating. Since Roku is integrated into it, that makes sense. So far, quite happy with it.

Great bedroom/dorm TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've never owned Insignia TVs before. I normally only purchase more expensive brands, so my expectations were a bit low. I was pleasantly surprised with this TV. PROs • Full Roku support and can play most channels. Seems faster than my old Roku 2. • Wifi enabled • Simple remote that I actually like. I love the volume rocker on the side of the remote. Very easy to navigate. • Each of your TV inputs show up on the Roku screen as their own "channel" that you pick the label for. • Supports HDMI ARC, Optical, and basic HDMI CEC controls • Roku phone/tablet app can be used to control the TV CONs • 720p resolution. Not full HD, but for the price, it's hard to complain. • Roku app has a power button. You cannot turn the TV on with it. (I know. Overly critical point, but without the original remote, it's very hard to find the button to turn it on.) • HDMI CEC functionality is limited. You can turn on and off a receiver by turning on and off the TV, but you cannot use media player controls to operate another media player like a Fire Stick or Raspberry Pi. Navigation buttons, play, pause, stop, and other media buttons do nothing to attached HDMI devices even with HDMI CEC turned on. The instruction manual on the Insignia website seems to contradict this fact. I tried several HDMI CEC playback devices, and none of them would work with this TV. • There's no way to actually label inputs other than the handful of presets already programmed into the TV. There are many presets, but it would be nice if the channel were labeled better. • TV has difficulty passing 5.1 surround from TV inputs to a receiver. To be honest though, I doubt most people are hooking this TV up to a surround sound system given the price. • Not compatible with Playstation Vue or Ultraflix channels, though all other major channels seem to be compatible. Bottom Line At the end of the day, this is a really decent TV that requires nothing to be hooked up to it to sit down and watch a movie or TV show. It's a very easy to use TV that would be great as a gift for parents or children. The fact that it's wifi enabled would make a great wall-mounted TV as it can do most video services without anything hooked up. The cons listed above do not detract from making this a very decent secondary TV.

Great TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I paid $99 for this TV as bedroom TV to watch at night and fall asleep to. Setup is super easy, menus are responsive and smooth. The remote is minimalistic in design but does everything you need it to and the button layout is easy to memorize for in the dark use. One of the greatest things is that all you need to do is plug it into the wall for power, you do not need to have any other wire running to the unit in order to have hundreds or thousands of movies, shows, live broadcasts etc delivered to the TV. Picture is only 720p but it still looks great. I have zero complaints regarding this TV and at this price, it is clearly a winner.

great tv for the price.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.got it today ive been using it about 5 hours. nice tv for the price. never owned a smart tv before. I have netflix. with the netflix basic account and free channels I wont need cable. the remote is small which is nice. however the volume buttons are on the right side of the remote, so if you're using the remote with your left hand, adjusting the volume using your left hand may be tricky... volume should have been on the top not the sides in my view...

Great for my Kitchen/Dining Room
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I ordered this online with store pickup while a deal was running. I had been looking for a tv for my kitchen/dining room for a while. I am very happy with this being a smart tv as I do not have to pay extra to my cable provider for another tv. With the built in Roku I was able to log into all different channel apps that were available. The picture seems clear so that is a plus, sound is not the best by any means but I also feel that these days most tv do not produce good sound any longer.

Unusual to find a Smart TV this inexpensive
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this for my daughter's grad school apartment. The TV sits 6 and a half feet in front of the couch, so 32 inches is enough. There's a 40 inch version if you need a bit more size for your room. I got this for $149, and there aren't many smart TVs with builtin Wifi in that price range. The TV was easy to configure (and we used an over the air antenna with it as well as the Wifi hookup). I hadn't had a Roku enabled TV before; I'm now a big fan (in case you're wondering, Roku is an app in the TV; you don't need or get a separate Roku box). Most smart TVs come with a pre-canned set of apps available. Some of them allow you to download other apps, but a lot of them don't (especially on the more inexpensive TVs). Roku is basically an app aggregator (it may do more than that, so you Roku advocates don't trash me), and therefore has just about any app you would ever want, and updates itself to include more. Since the TV is hooked to the internet, Roku can update itself whenever it wants. You *do* need to set up a Roku account, but it is free. Then you have all apps it knows about (and that's plenty) available to you. Note that I said that Roku is an aggregator. Roku doesn't provide you free access to paid subscription apps like Netflix. But we have a family subscription to Netflix, so my daughter got into that one immediately. And she also has accounts with Google Play and our family's Amazon Prime, so there was plenty of content available. YouTube also gives a good bit of free content. The main thing Roku gets you is access to lots of apps, and that's a nice thing. The TV hooks to the internet seamlessly after configuration, so it's a nice product. Point to note: it's only 720p. For a 32" TV, it's my opinion that the resolution is perfectly fine. Your opinion may vary. If you need a 1080p, you're going to have to pay more. If you need a 4K, you're for sure going to have to pay a good bit more. This is a nice little Wifi enabled smart TV, loaded with app access, for not very much money.

Solid TV - Great Bang for yor Buck
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV part of the 32" Roku TV from Insignia works great. A decent picture with decent sound is a hallmark of Insignia TVs. I haven't addressed the "Smart" part of the TV so you'll have to rely on the other reviewers for that information. Regardless - Insignia TVs are a solid value.

Needs 7.2 software update to watch Sony PS Vue :-(
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This tv provides an excellent picture and sound. The tv is a good size for a small room or bedroom. For the most part, the Roku feature works as expected. However, after speaking with Roku customer service, I was made aware that Roku Tv's (and he made it seem like all Roku Tv's) have yet to update beyond the 7.0.2 software. The Roku boxes update seamlessly, but not the RokuTv's. I am a Sony Playstation Vue subscriber, which is much better than Sling. In order to watch Sony PS Vue, the Roku Tv's must have the 7.2.0 software update. For that reason, I will be returning this tv back to Best Buy and buying a separate tv and roku box. This is very disappointing. Best Buy and Roku should make this information available.

Good Affordable Entry Level Smart TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased at a good price during a Black Friday sale event. Video quality is good (HD) for 32” TV. Very pleased with Roku streaming experience (instructions & initial setup, content, locating/adding free channels, audio, zoom display function). Remote w/o number keypad for channel selection is inefficient. Recommend downloading Roku App on smartphone and use voice feature to locate channels. TV failed (no video on display) after 6 years of reliable use. Disappointed that TV stopped working; however, upon further review, a 6-year lifespan is pretty good for an entry level TV.
