    Stopped working within a month

Loved this TV when I first got it. After a month or so it started to turn off randomly while I was watching it and would turn right back on, on average it would do this 2-3 times every time I would watch TV. About a month ago it did the usual thing of turning off but this time it didn’t turn back on and now it won’t turn on at all. Tried changing outlets, unplugging everything and waiting then plugging everything back in, still didn’t work. I wish I would have paid a little bit more and gotten a name brand TV. Lesson learned.

Super easy to set up, excellent picture, and with Roku Built in this TV exceeded all my expectations so much that I went back the next day and replaced another TV with one of these while they were on sale. This is a great TV at a great price. I will look at another one in a larger size when my big TV needs to be replaced.

    Hard to set up

Hard to put legs on. Initial set up was ok but awful connecting DVD player. Hard to determine you had to choose ANTENNA TV in order for you cable to load?? And I must choose antenna icon to watch cable? Counter intuitive. One more icon would make more sense. 32" size great for the space I have. My smaller Insignia moved to my bedroom. It's at least 5 years and after returning the first defective one with no problem at Best Buy the TV has been problem free.

Great set, features for the price, iffy audio

New TV for our exercise area in the basement - didn't want to run a new coax for CATV, and didn't want to pay for a new cable box. So the ROKU set is a perfect solution! The TV has plenty of ports, including 3 HDMI - so when the exercising stops, it can be re-purposed elsewhere in the house. We've used the ROKU interface before, and it works well/as expected. As others have noted, the weak spot for this set is the audio power - especially with the treadmill, it would be helpful if it had a bit more oomph. But it was a great solution!

Wifi not connecting and TV restarting

Bought this tv Feb 16, from the time I hooked it up, the picture was excellent. Also really enjoyed the Roku. Since the last update, my tv still works, but now doesn't connect to wifi and seems to restart itself several times during the day. I know I only paid $150 for it, but was really hoping to get at least 1 yr. out of it. Overall I would still recommend this tv, but maybe with a warranty where they replace the unit and not send it away. I will be taking this back to Best Buy to see what they can do, but being without a tv is really not an option, and will be looking at other tv's to purchase.

    Ok For Small Room

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Great price, fairly easy to set up. Those not familiar with Roku may get confused and frustrated. If you're frustrated with poor service and/or expensive cable or other TV service providers, Roku is a great option. Bought as a secondary TV to be used in a small room. Picture ok, sound quality not the best. May benefit by using extra speakers or soundbar for those needing quality sound. Works for my needs.

For a 720p TV, it's not bad at all. It's very light, but it does what you need it to do. I especially like that Roku is built into the unit, as it lets me watch m movies, netflix, or youtube without having to purchase another device. For the price, you really can't complain!

    Requires Internet / Roku

Recently the old tube TV my elderly parents had bit the dust so they asked me to pick them up an inexpensive TV for their home. They didn't need a huge TV so this seemed like a reasonable purchase -- they didn't need a "smart tv" but this unit was at a decent price. I figured the "smart tv" feature was something it would include, but we simply wouldn't use. Overall, the TV itself works fine, has a decent picture, etc. My main beefs with this purchase is simply this: In order to use the TV, you *MUST* have a wifi connection, and you *MUST* either have, or set up, a Roku account. This is vastly different from other Smart TVs/devices I have purchased in the past. My parents have cable TV, and while they do have Wifi in their house for when the grandkids and great-grandkids visit, really do not use the internet (mom at 75 uses facebook to keep in contact with her siblings in Florida and Ohio she hasn't seen in 40 years, god bless her, she loves it, its opened a whole new world to her). The concept of streaming video is foreign to them (my father, at 78, still cannot use a microwave.) When I powered up the TV, I could not "abort" the Wifi setup section and simply have the TV operate with the cable TV box. I *had* to configure Wifi (so, if you do not have Wifi, you can't use the TV). Okay, so I could live with connecting the TV to Wifi, but then, the TV required I set up a Roku account (which I did not have, and do not use) and provide a credit card number to Roku in order to set up the account. I tried power-cycling the unit when I got to this point, but upon power-up, it simply returned to the same spot. There was no way to abort this process and not have the TV connect to Roku. I completed the setup, but this is something I was really unhappy about. I do not like being forced to sign up and provide a credit card number to a service I have no intention of using (nor will my parents use). I can just imagine the TV will stop working when the credit card # I supplied "expires". I did not see either of these requirements on the box. I have a couple of other smart TVs in my own home which are not connected to Wifi and did not require me to set up accounts and supply a credit card in order to use the TV. But then, I guess that's why this TV was only $100. Really poor experience with this purchase. Not happy about it in the slightest. Consumers should not be required to sign up for a service -- or, if you're going to require it, the box should clearly stipulate a wifi connection is required and you will be required to sign up for a service and supply a credit card number.
