Unfortunately the way some tech items are being mass produced they just do not last as long. Having the replacement warranty ensure you will get a few years of a working product

This is a great gaming mouse. It is easy to move and has great precision. Great price at Best Buy, I purchased the extended warranty because nothing seems to last anymore.
