Average Denon.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like my Denon. But the analog input options are pathetic. Only 2? They must think nobody uses a turntable, tape deck, or analog CD player anymore, and that's not true. I use them and lot of others do. We analog lovers have been left in the dust of a techno-obsessed world. I miss the old days when quality was a priority.

meh
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I install my own stuff (tv, stereo, speakers, etc). I purchase the warranty, cause, umm, I install my own stuff and I have a tendancy to sometimes blow them up. perhaps I should have gotten the warranty for that lg dvd player, purchased last year and won't play blue ray anymore . . .eh, I digress. I should have purchased the Samsung model like I did for my parents, but I digress. the warranty is for the stereo. Sony makes good products, and so far my receiver has not let me down. If you are hard on your stuff or have bad luck with electronics, buy the warranty. if you don't want to and like to live dangerously, don't buy the warranty. (perhaps they should offer warranty to locate toilet paper in the bay area, eh??? Just saying).

Geek Squad wouldn't price match for a replacement
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really easy to return items under warranty. However if the price goes up on the item, you need to pay the difference on the new replacement. The difference in the price of the Sony headphones was $40.00. They were the exact same pair of headphones.

Good value for service
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A bit pricey, but covers your high value music product. Have used Geek squad service before for a seamless replacement, so thought on jumping on this for my Sonos product as well. A bit pricey, but considering it is for 4 years, seems worth it. Will come back and update this in case I face any service issues in future.

Not perfect but typically very good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve always been pleased with Geek Squad. I don’t love that you can’t order a repair or install through a local store, because sometimes you want to request the person who last serviced your system. But in all, I find the service a good value and efficient.

Onkyo still the king
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. To preface, I've owned Onkyo, Yamaha, and Sony A/V receivers in the past. My most recent A/V receiver before this one was also an Onkyo, which I loved. This upgraded version is just a pure improvement over the last. The sound is clean and crisp, with more than enough punch when really cranked up. But even at lower volumes, no details are left out. Only not 5 stars because the built in Wifi receiver seems pretty poor range wise, its in an open air enclosure, and struggles to maintain wireless signal in a room that no other device struggles with at all.

T.v. home theater repair
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Outstanding guys with great attitudes. Unfortunately they dont always have all the answers. But they sure try. I know its frustrating dealing with mad and upset customers all day. But when you have 5,000 wrapped up in your entertainment system alone and also total home protection you would expect the products to work as described. Guess you have to take the good with the bad. Still waiting for my samsung Q60 75" to work properly after the main board and the panel has been replaced. Going on a month now....

Usually Great, But Big Mistake This Time
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have used the service three times in two years for computer equipment/software failures. Very good service, no hassles, prompt, and courteous., but not complete this last time. I had to buy a backup thumb drive to facilitate copying of data from a failing disk drive so that it could be replaced. No problem. But, they only copied the OS and not my data - the important reason for the thumb drive. Now, I have lost my data!!! You guys really let me down on this one.

Quality Sony receiver
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased receiver for family member after his same model shorted out. Great quality but limited hook-ups for additional speakers makes it just "ok" in my opinion. Bluetooth is nice when connecting phone but would like to see receivers adapt more with Bluetooth speaker technology. Definitely buy the geek squad plan. Was actually pretty cheap for the 4 year plan.

Wish it was also Bluetooth.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.overall the sound quality is very good for such a small device, but will be best for smaller rooms and lol living rooms, also pairing it with Sonos satellite speakers will give you a more vibrant experience.

Saved my AV system
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this 3 years ago. Wifi stopped working and brought it in. Sent away and they sent it back with the same problem. I had to take in a 2nd time. They said it was unfixable and gave me a full credit of the amount I paid (minus the protection fee). I was able to buy a new receiver (better) and I bought the protection again. A bit of a hassle to redeem which is why I gave 4 stars. Had I only had to take 1 trip, it would have been 5 stars.

Reliable
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As far as giving geek squad service a rating, I don't really have much to say. I just have this service available as a backup in case any software damages come with my products. I know in the past they have taken care of my camera and they did a good job! I'm sure they do a great job at recovering whatever it is that got messed up.

Very good price.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I won't really know how this works unless I need to use it for having the Onkyo receiver repaired. I have always been satisfied with Geek Squad maintenance coverage for my PC's, etc. tho. I decided to get this coverage because of the awesome price for 4 yrs. Plus, it seems receivers are now prone to more problems with their "product overload features" that they have now! Whatever happened to good ole "plug and play"???!!!
