Nice monitor, but the KVM does not work.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Beautiful monitor, but I can't get the KVM switch to work with my work laptop. I have tried a USB type C connector, and a USB type C Gen 2 3.2 connector - both do not work. The display tries to switch and my keyboard and mouse transfer to the laptop, but the video does not connect and keeps kicking back to my desktop display. The MAIN reason I bought this KVM monitor is so I could actually use the KVM feature. Very frustrating as I've spent days troubleshooting this now and am not finding any answers.

Spend a little more for something better
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not worth the money... I had a feeling this would be the case, but this was the only portable monitor available in town for same day pickup when I had to leave town unexpectedly and still work while traveling. It got the job done in a pinch but the the resolution is too poor to properly display many of the programs I work in frequently. Beyond that it was bulky, and felt very flimsy and cheaply made. The only input option is via USB 3.0 so if you so it is not nearly as universally compatible as many other portable screens on the market. The last con is the cord it comes with, the screen itself only has one usb input however not all devices can power the screen through just one USB cord so it has a single male USB connector on the screen end and two male connectors on the computer end, but the tail that is meant for power deliver is very short so if you don't have 2 USB ports on the same side of your laptop you would need a USB extension cord. Luckily my laptop had the power in one USB to power the screen without plugging the power delivery cord in. I did appreciate the integrated kickstand and it was relatively simple setup. I've had it for about 3 months, taken on about 3 trips and have already upgraded to a much better Full HD portable screen for future travels while only spending about $20 more than I did on this one. Hopefully I can sell this one on the second hand market and recoup some of the cost of having to buy a second one since I am already out of the return window on this one.

Great display with too many other limitations
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really want to like this monitor, but can't get past the limitations. Like - Gorgeous display - Colors are good - No noticeable ghosting - No light distribution issues that make a difference - At 27" is has plenty of room for programs (outlook, work, etc) Cons - Only HDMI in and only 1 port - No height adjustment or orientation options - No audio out - Not compatible with other stand options (e.g. VESA) - No USB ports (not a major factor for me) In the end it is a nice monitor with a great display. I don't hate it, but can't afford the extra cost or clutter this configuration creates. The first four cons are deal breakers for me. I don't have HDMI out on any of the computers in my house (DP and MiniDP). Height is self explanatory. No audio out would drive me to compensate with additional hardware. No alternative stand options, in addition to the hardware I'd have to provide to compensate for the other limitations, just adds salt to the wound. I plan to return and go to the U2520. A bit smaller, but addresses all of the shortcomings of this monitor.

Waste of money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had purchased the protection plan for my sons computer screen and when it had broke from the screen inside , no cracks or anything on it , the lady at the geek squad desk didnt even look at it right at first and said oh well we dont do screens. Then after several minutes later i told her she then asks someone and they said they dont fix screens. I was like why do you offer a protection plan if they dont fix them or help w warranty??? It doesnt make sense, i told her i didnt want to cancel my warranty because theh were only gonna give me $7 for it when i paid 40 something for mine. Its just a rip off

Sadly, I hated almost everything about it.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Oh where to begin with everything that was wrong with this monitor... * It has a non-standard power cable, so you can't just hook it up to your old power cord and DP cable. * It complains with popup warnings if you don't use the DP cable it came with! * It has a single "god-button" with up-down-left-right-press actions that you use to turn it on/off and navigate the settings. * You cannot turn it off with a single click of a button like you can literally every other monitor on the planet! * When displaying large areas of a single color (like in an IDE, full screened web browser, etc) there were wide vertical bands of slightly different levels of illumination that made the color look different (ARG!!!) * Light seemed to fade at the edges making things harder to read on the far sides of the monitor Using this everyday would have driven me mad... had it connected for all of a couple of hours and brought it back. The only good things about it were the 32" size, gamma control, and it did look really good while gaming (to me at least). All in all, not sure if I'd ever buy another LG monitor after this experience.

Poor Customer Service – Delivery Issues Again
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best Buy has the worst customer service I’ve experienced. They claim to care about customers, but their actions say otherwise. I ordered two separate items for delivery, and both times they waited until the actual delivery day just to start the process. This has now happened to me twice. If you actually want your item on time, you’re better off going in-store or ordering from Amazon. Don’t trust Best Buy for timely delivery, plain and simple.

Use it, you lose it... or worse
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First, check out Best Buy on the Better Business Bureau, and decide if purchasing their service plans or installation services are worth it anymore. I have been a customer for 35 years, and never had a bad experience. Their customer service is nightmare now. As well as their GSPR plans being a waste of money, now. I bought a $300 modem on sale for $250. The plan cost $45. 1 1/2 years later, it stopped working. Not only do you have to cover the extra cost of what the modem costs not on sale ($50), you lose the rest of the 4 year warranty. So, I'm paying $45 for a 4 year service, that I only got 1 1/2 years of use on, which comes to a loss of $30 of unused portion of warranty, another $45 to get another plan, and $50 to cover the extra cost of replacing the modem that isn't on sale anymore. And it gets even better when the sales person at Best Buy states he could return the modem to Motorola if it was still under their manufacturer warranty. (He assumed the warranty was only one year). When I tell him it's a 2 year manufacturer warranty, he refuses to do what he just told me he would do, if it was covered. Motorola even sent me an email to bring to Best Buy, that they determined the modem was faulty and couldn't be repaired, and that they would except the return from Best Buy. Best Buy would have been out nothing to return it to Motorola for a replacement and still expected me to purchase another 4 year plan. The reason I didn't go through the manufacturer is because Motorola expects you ship their faulty product back with insurance ($25) I have a $45 service plan and then have to pay $25 to go through the manufacturer for a replacement, in order to not lose my Best Buy replacement plan??? And the worst mistake you could ever make with Best Buy is to contact their headquarters. They will say they are doing a "one time favor" by doing a refund for the product and service plan, and that they don't need it returned, and then cancel the service plan, and never send the refund for the product. I now have no warranty, nor can I replace the item because it shows as returned (even though I still have it) and I'm out $250 for the refund the never gave me.

I buy the 3 year warranties for almost everything.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I do so, because they have paid for themselves countless times. The 4 year warranty is new to me, but for $12, there is no excuse not to have it.
