I am extremely disappointed with the service I received from Geek Squad at both the Altamonte Springs and Sanford stores. I called because my Samsung monitor is having issues — it’s not displaying pixels correctly, G-Sync does not connect properly. I clearly explained that I had purchased the Geek Squad Product Replacement plan, and expected a replacement option as promised. Instead, I was met with bad attitudes and was told they would only replace my monitor with the exact same model, and that I could not choose another monitor even if I paid the difference. When I asked for store credit, as outlined in the terms of the replacement plan, they told me it would need “approval” from them. This is not what the plan describes, and it feels like they were intentionally making the process difficult instead of honoring the replacement policy. I paid for a replacement plan — not a repair plan — and I expect Geek Squad to follow through on the terms of that agreement. The lack of professionalism and willingness to help was very disappointing.

I didn't buy these until several years ago when there was a problem with a laptop. Instead of having a local solution, my poor little computer had to go to Houston and wait out a huge hurricane. Insult to injury! Buy the extra coverage and be treated much better if and when something goes wrong.

I would highly recommend geek squad protection especially on more expensive items. It means a ot to know best buy has my back!

I do like GSP for monitors since it really does make the exchange process easy. I would recommend it for consoles, controllers, headphones, and monitors.

I will always purchase an electronics extended warranty any time I purchase a high value item such as a television to protect my wallet from high priced repair bills. This extended warranty is the buyers protection.

I absolutely love Geek Squad protection. I purchase it on all my electronics I buy at Best Buy. I am impressed at the lengths they will go to in helping resolve any problem I have ever had up to replacing the unit with a new one.

Great program for this type of devices. It is always good to know that you have the chance to get a new monitor if it stops working.

so if u need to return your tv after 1 year and u have a 5 year warranty u loose 4 years of it because u have to buy a new warranty for the new tv they give u. my advise is to get a 2 year warranty and just renew it 3 months before just incase its breaks sooner than later

I had to use my warranty after purchasing a monitor and the replacement was incredibly easy to get in store locally. I don’t decline warranty’s anymore on electronics.

I always buy a product replacent warranty after the phenomenal service I received many many years ago after I returned an Xbox with the infamous red ring of death and was given a brand new Xbox straight from their inventory!

Crystal clear pucture and fast enough to use as a gaming screen. Cant beat it for the price!

Please add product protection, especially if purchasing for a teenager lol. My son damaged his monitor beyond repair and this service provided me with a bestbuy gift card that was the value of the damaged out product.

Purchasing the replacement plan is must. No hassel replacement if product is faulty within 4 years. I have used it many times
