Bought in case of lightning strike since last receiver was damaged during storm, didn't have a Protection Plan. I have used their Protection Plan before for a TV and they replaced TV when it couldn't be repaired.

I would say the protection plans that are worth getting imo are the Replacement plans, as it’s a quick fix and you get a new product instantly. Otherwise it’s a long process to wait and see if it can be fixed or not…

Worth the addition, have pet that constantly chews stuff up, so especially for the price this was a no brainer.

I have used the service three times in two years for computer equipment/software failures. Very good service, no hassles, prompt, and courteous., but not complete this last time. I had to buy a backup thumb drive to facilitate copying of data from a failing disk drive so that it could be replaced. No problem. But, they only copied the OS and not my data - the important reason for the thumb drive. Now, I have lost my data!!! You guys really let me down on this one.

I purchased the protection plan because I had a receiver prior to the one that I purchased and it would not power up. The factory warranty expired, so I made sure that I covered my new item purchased.

I've been using geek squad protection for years for just about all of my expensive audio system and I have been glad I had a few times when things had failed. Geek squad had either replaced my unit or fixed it.

My Sony bluetooth turntable is awesome! The idea of being able to play my music through my bluetooth headphones without disturbing others is ingenious! I love being able to once again listen to some vintage Miles Davis I inherited from my parents and relieve some amazing memories.

Gives me the peace of mind knowing i can get things fixed or replaced if something happens.

the cost for the protection plan is nothing compared to what it will cost to replace your equipment without one. i had a bad storm that knocked out my receiver and my projector, but thank goodness I had the protection plan to replace both!

I always buy extended warranty’s … peace of mind…:) You never know what’s going to happen!

Bought it as a gift and they love it. Definitely worth the buy!

I bought this for emergency use. I hope I never have to use it but it’s better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.

The geek squad was fast and Efficient on replying to me and getting my record player fixed and assisting me

i love best buy protections plans. they havent given me the run arounds to get my device fixed or replaced. that will keep me a loyal satisfied customer. i always purchase warranty with everything i get. i know when it comes time to fix im covered.

I have enjoyed being able to call or go online and get Geek Squad service for all of my devices. They can get into my devices remotely and save me the trouble of disconnecting my desk top computer and bringing it in to rheir repair facility.

Yamaha Receiver is awesome, bought pods for my son for Christmas and he's enjoying them thanks best buy.
