Beautiful to watch with great acting. However, I was very disappointed that Branch Rickey was made out to be such a saint. In reality, he stole players from the N Leagues and purposefully held players in the minors to keep his competition from acquiring them. It's one thing to admire Mr. Rickey for his many, many gifts to baseball, but here we see that Hollywood has overlooked his downsides and that helps to purpetuate baseball myths and causes us to lose focus on the other players who also struggled racial oppression.
