Baseball fan or not, you can learn something from this film. Iconic story of a mans journey through persecution and trials to become a legend. Amazing movie. Well directed and beautifully equipped with actors

This is a really good movie that seems to be a pretty acurate description of what Jackie Robinson had to experience to break the color barrier in baseball. It still doesn't change the fact that watching racism is difficult though.

I highly recommend this movie - for sports fans and fans of good movies. The story is compelling; acting is superb; pacing is just right. It is a film I will watch over and over. It is a "must have" for any baseball lover's library.

An awesome depiction of what the great Jackie Robinson went through just to play a game. Chadwick does a spectacular job telling his story! A must see!

This movie does an accurate job in portraying both the life and career of a true American hero, Jackie Robinson. He changed the game of baseball and it's refreshing to see a movie dedicated to him and the legacy he left behind.

An amazing piece of history in both sports and American culture - the acting is superb, the cinematography and storytelling are amazing, the emotion is real. I would recommend this movie for anyone and especially for sports fans!

This is a great family movie. I watched this with my grandson who was 8yrs and he loved it. It was about baseball and a great man. He also was able to see the world when it was so different. He learned much from this movie.

As far as the movie goes, it was actually really good! I was happy and surprised to find this movie to be educational and emotionally endearing. I recommend this anyone- baseball fan or not.

This is great retelling of the story that should be known by every causal baseball fan. Cast is top-notch. Only wish the extras enhanced things with more history on the breaking down of the color line on other teams. A wonderful opportunity to broaden this event from baseball's past was missed. This would have been an ideal place to share the story with today's youth. .

I thoroughly enjoyed watching this movie. It provides a historical account of the integration of Major League Baseball. It is also a good teaching tool for teenagers to see how life was during the segregation years in America.

Excellent movie about Jackie Robinson and how he broke racial barriers in baseball in April 1947. Fitting tribute to watch again in April 73 years later.

Never got a chance to watch the movie but considering the subject matter and Chadwick as the leading actor I was pretty certain not to be disappointed. I do plan to re-acquire the disc as soon as it's back in stock. My rating is totally based on my expectations.

One of the better of the baseball movie genre, and especially fascinating to me as a huge fan of Jackie Robinson both as a ballpayer and as a man. Harrison Ford does an outstanding job as the great Branch Rickey.

This movie told an incredible story, which also happens to be a true story. If you're a sports movie fan, or even if you are not, "42" is a must in your movie collection. I could watch this many, many times over.

This movie helps a new generation understand how difficult it is to get people to accept change, how a culture of thinking was transformed by the courage of a small group, especially that courageous young Jackie Robinson.

Have not actually got to see the movie yet, but it looked good when it came out and I do like other sports themed movies - so for the price, I thought, why not try it out!

Great movie about a great human being. As a younger baseball fan it was very interesting to watch this movie to learn more about Jackie Robinson than you may learn during baseball broadcasts. Worth a watch.

I think we all forget how easy we have it now. Back when Jackie played it wasn't easy and he wasn't accepted. It's a true American story and we should all learn from it how great this country really us. Lo
