Great affordable TV with the first usable Smart TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I went from a matte LCD 2012 Vizio TV to this, so it maybe a bigger improvement to me, but I am very happy with the picture quality, sound is better than the Vizio. Usually you keep hearing sound is getting worse on TV's because they TV's keep shrinking. Just average sound, but good enough for me. I got a used soundbar for when I play movies, but the built-in speakers are great for TV and streaming. I like the signal strength for the antenna so you can try to find a better picture easier. All in all, you get a great TV for an affordable price. I have used someones expensive Sony TV Smart OS and it was horrible. Same with my Sony Blu-Ray Player. My XBox 360 too a while to power up and get to Netflix and had to use a game controller. I have heard others complain Smart TV's are worse than streaming boxs. I gave this one a try and was presently surprised at the speed. The Roku hardware in this is better than the 2015 Stick, so I think it uses the 2016 Stick technology. My friends Insignia TV operates like the older TV Stick. Cons: - Could use one more HDMI (and on the other side of the other three. - Doesn't support the fancier Component connectors to hook up my Wii for a digital picture - Line of sight remote, can't put a soundbar in front of TV unless you get one that goes under, or you put risers under the TV's foot. - Four preset buttons cannot be re-programmed for the four apps you use the most. Steaming Issues Tip: Reboot router If not fixed: re-run update connection in Settings - >Network->Wireless Note: if this happens your internet speed changed. Or like me, I have a router that flakes out sometimes and needs a reboot. Don't let this stop you from buying the TV. My router is the problem in this case, but people may find this helpful. Also, I decreased my internet speed while switching providers and updating the connection fixed that too.

Good tv for the money

Called customer service and they can't tell you when it will roll out for this particular tv. Once this happens the tv can get more stars.

Not the size on the box.

Bought a vizio not an insignia

Great for the most part

Picture is great sound is not

Terrible sound quality

When watching sports this TV sound exaggerates background noise to the point where you can't hear what the announcers are saying. The crowd noise or band noise is overwhelming. There needs to be a way to adjust or turn off the surround sound settings. Stereo options to select are available but they don't effectively change anything. I now have to use an auxiliary sound box in order to tolerate the sound of this TV. I guess there's a good reason why Best Buy keeps these in the back. That's where they should stay. Buy Vizio!
