Before I purchased this flat screen TV 3 days before Black Friday 2016, I was reading the different reviews for this particular model. I was surprised to see a lot of positive ones. I then call my nephew and he told me I purchased him a Insignia TV 4 years ago (I really didn't know what Brand TV it was). He told me how great the picture quality was and also the sound was very good. I then went to my nearest Best Buy just to look at the different 48-50 inch models. I ended up coming back the next day with my nephew to purchase the INSIGNIA 48 inch ROKU TV for my den.Best purchase ever. There is NO need for a sound bar ! SPECTACULAR sound on this TV. I was shocked! I had it on 20 and it sounded as if I was at the movie theatre, I believe it goes up to 100. I would recommend this television to anyone who is looking for a Flat screen TV. Price was very good and I think I will purchase another 43 inch for my bedroom!!

Wow! I am truly amazed by the quality of this TV. It's great for a small living room since I live in a one bedroom apt. I upgraded to this from a 32" Emerson TV. I was a little nervous the box wouldn't fit in my trunk ('15 Toyota Corolla) but it slid in perfectly with the seats let down. The setup was super easy and took less than 20 mins. I connect through a digital cable box with an hdmi cord. I love how I can switch to Netflix, Hulu, on Pandora all in one click. The sound is amazing as well. Overall I'm very pleased with my purchase!

We have had the tv in our home for several years now and love it. It works great and syncs with all of our in home technology perfectly. Picture is also very nice.

Purchased as a Christmas gift. Lots of great features. Easy to program shows and movies.

It does exactly as advertised and you cannot ask for more than this. It was a quick and easy setup and a very simple menu to operate. The picture quality is superb. The only negative is the speaker volume capability. With my reduced hearing, we have it on 100% full time. My wife says it is fine, but I need the closed caption operating on every screen to be comfortable with the dialog. We are considering aftermarket speakers with adjustable volume. Other than that it is a great product and I would recommend it to any stranger. At 82 years I have had TV's since the early 50's (10 inch B&W), thru our first color in the 60's to the first flat screen in 2006. This by far is the best. We are big ROKU fans having had the Stik for over a year now, and we watch those programs 90% of the time. No disappointments here either. I certainly recommend this product.

I wanted to purchase a larger TV for our basement. As I currently own a 40" Insignia Smart Roku TV that I love, I decided to get the 48" version. I purchased it on Thanksgiving for a significant savings, which was very nice. A few days ago I finally set it up and expected to have the same great experience I had with the smaller one. Unfortunately, streaming channels, such as WatchESPN and HISTORY, constantly stops to load...like every few seconds. My Internet speed is 18 mbps and is not the issue. My signal strength is Good and is not the issue. Plus, I do not have this problem on my 40" Insignia. After resetting the connection, problems remain. I plan to return/exchange it, hoping that the problem is relegated to this set only. It is this optimism that prompted my "recommendation to a friend."

This is a great smart tv. Good size, good screen, and the Roku is built in for easy use. Great price too. Definitely recommend.

This was a Black Friday purchase, so I got an awesome deal. At first, I was a little skeptical purchasing this tv for two reasons. First, it only has a 60 hz refresh rate, Second, I have never purchased an Insignia product. I am glad that I made the purchase. The picture quality is great and I love the fact that it is a smart tv and comes with the Roku app built in. I will never be without something to watch. This purchase was an upgrade for my bedroom and I am not disappointed. Love my new 48" tv!

I bought this tv for my mother who is not the most tech savvy individual. She loves to watch basketball games, but has trouble figuring out how to watch the ones that are only on espn3 through her computer. I bought this brand after reading the reviews, and because it is one of the few that carry the Watch ESPN App. So far she loves it. After I set it up and downloaded the app for her she has had no problem going right to it and watching the games.

My daughter loves this smart TV with Roku built in. I was impressed. Set it up and, done. Wish I had it.

We wanted a new Smart TV to mount in our wall-mount-friendly family room. This one was the right size and right price. Great, bright screen with good color representation. Excellent features with Roku included so we don't need to monkey with another Roku box to watch Netflix and Hulu. It takes a few seconds to warm up after turning on and synchronizing with our DirecTV and Sony Receiver but from there, it's smooth sailing. We don't need the 4K or other added features with the newer, more expensive TVs so this Insignia does the trick.

I've owned this 4 years now and the TV is fantastic after all these years. Was way ahead in technology because of the Roku features which have continued to update with time. I've played graphics heavy PS4 games which looked beautiful. Made me respect Insignia as a brand. Thank you Best Buy.

roku works great... the picture is excellent.. the sound is better than the cheap spectre i bought from walmart... this is a great buy!! i would def buy another insignia
