It was a warranty replacement love this one so far it is smaller for the area, can hear it very good all around very good system.

This is my Second unit. I bought one for my home, and bought the second one for my apartment in a different city. I was really looking at not purchasing this in the beginning, but with all the good reviews I give it a shot. This device has proven itself to be worthy for the money. It's super loud, and with Bluetooth, radio, and screen monitor, you can't go wrong. It's sounds amazing!! I have a Bose system too, and this is almost just as good, but half the price. I just wish it had an hdmi input, to plug in my xfinity cable box. I would definitely recommend this product.

Wireless back speakers but you need wired from wireless receiver to the two speakers (wireless avoid wire from central unit to the back only)

So far so good, I spend my day watching UHD videos from YouTube! Tons of cool content available on there and even easier to watch through the built in Smart button right on the remote. This TV makes the Smart part the easy part. I highly recommend!

Some good things are being able to wifi stream your netflix or other movie account but if you have too many things running off the same wifi it can boot you out and you'll then have to restart the app and show where you left off. I haven't had that happen yet on this particular one but on the one that this replaced witch was a similar model same system so I am hoping this one doesnt end up doing the same. One thing good but bad is if you have a samsung smart tv to go with it and you power off this system it should automatically rever the tv back to the appropriate hdmi but with an older tv from 15 years ago it only reverts back to regular tv when it feels like it and other times it has to be done with the remote. Witch aggravates my 68 year old mother because my niece never remembers to make sure its switched back when shes done with it. Sometimes certain speech is harder to hear but I am thinking that is just my hearing going awry Mom has the same problem cant hear certain pitches anymore.

Absolutely loves it. Bought him a 60" tv for Christmas the year before, so I got him this surround sound system this year. Glued to the tv now haha

I love Samsung's products but the wireless speakers don't work unless you're playing a DVD. But still a good system.

On page 28 of the manual for the HT-J5500W home entertainment system, it reads “The product does not play sound in Search, Slow, or Step mode.” I took this to mean that it is supposed to continue to play sound during fast motion FORWARD play (at last at the lower end of the faster forward speeds). For example, my PC media player will continue to play the DVD sound track at 1.2X, 1.4X or 2X normal forward speed (although the sound pitch and speed is, of course, higher and faster than normal, respectively; at 4X, 8X or 16X speeds, the PC cuts off the sound track). After reading this page in the Samsung manual, I was expecting that this unit would also play the sound track if the playback was sped up somewhat so that a movie could be viewed in a shorter time, however, the sound cuts out at ANY faster forward speed when the >> button on the remote is pressed. I then found the statement “The home theater does not play sound during fast playback, slow playback, and step motion playback.” on page 44 in the Appendix/Troubleshooting section of the manual. I think that the first part of the manual is ambiguous and misleading and that Samsung can certainly do a better job with its documentation.

Hook up was easy, sound is great... However, the cooling fan is too noisey..

I love the features of this product. Had a bit of trouble getting the subwoofer to connect. But overall, it is a good product .

This is a decent system for entry level surround sound. It matches up with my Samsung TV well. I have this in a relatively small location so it is perfect for what I want. It was easy to set up. If you are a serious audiophile or have a medium to large room you probably need something with more speakers and more power.

This system is just amazing! Great sound, very deep bass. I love the wifi as it gives me access to YouTube and Netflix, very convenient.
