    I have boughten many electronics from Best Buy over the years. However, I would recommend purchasing extended warranty coverage just incase. I did have a couple repairs done in the past. They were very satisfactorily performed with a high degree of professionalism. Be sure to purchase a Geek Squad Protection plan for all troubleshooting, service needs and operational advice.

    It's a warranty, but not one you should be weary of. Most protection plans have gotten a bad stigma over the years, but this Geek Squad protection plan has never let me down. Best Buy has also been helpful and resolved any product issues I've had due to this warranty. Protection covers numerous categories, so give yourself the peace of mind and pickup the added coverage, it costs essentially the same as a weeks worth coffeeshop trips but now you're TV is worryfree for 2 years.

    They mounted my TV with no problem. They took out all the packaging materials and TV box and hauled it off. They answered and showed me how to use the TV. Highly recommend them!

    I purchased my 5 year extended warranty for a Sony 43" TV. The MFGR warranty was for one year (as which they never falter in the first year) and I admit I am skeptical about purchasing additional warranties in general. The "hook" was that if they can't fix it within a reasonable period of time - or I experience the same issue after a repair, BB will replace my set with a new, comparable model. With technology progressing at the current rate and considering the way models change, I figure I'll get twice the performance in a new (replacement) set at about the two year mark - depending on the quality of the product (do your research). Even if it lasts the duration of the extended warranty period, I have the comfort of not having the worry of a set failure for what I consider a very reasonable cost. It's the "you can pay me now, or pay me later" mentality. Just insurance, that's all.

    I know anything will go wrong with my purchase but it's nice to have some security just in case. The price was a little high for my taste but again I think it's worth it for the 2-year coverage

    Almost 2 years ago, I purchased a 65" Sharp Roku TV from Best Buy. I'd never purchased an extended warranty before, but this time I did and now I'm glad. About a month before the warranty expired, pale streaks started showing up on my screen. I called Best Buy and they sent a technician out. The panel was going bad and they couldn't get a replacement, nor was the TV still offered. The technician gave me paperwork and told me to take it to my local store. Sure enough, they took care of me! I picked a new TV, paid just the difference in cost from the original, and a week later the new TV was delivered and the old one taken away. And yes, I bought the extended warranty for the new one.

    The geek squad is so helpful when you have technical issues or defective devices. They are so reliable and competent with their knowledge and expertise. This is the best thing to have to bring you comfort in knowing if anything goes wrong, you are covered fir immediate repairs.

    Misleading Two-Year Warranty

    I purchased the 2-year Geek Squad Protection Plan thinking it would provide immediate coverage if something went wrong with my new TV. Unfortunately, that’s not the case. What they don’t tell you upfront is that if your product is still under the manufacturer’s warranty, Geek Squad won’t help you, they’ll just refer you back to the manufacturer. That means you’re really only getting about one year of coverage, not two, because Geek Squad won’t step in until the manufacturer’s warranty expires. To make things even more frustrating, if your TV is wall-mounted, Best Buy won’t unmount it for you unless you pay an additional $150 or hire someone else to do it before they’ll even assist you. So, even though you pay extra for “full protection,” it doesn’t actually feel like full protection at all. This experience feels misleading and like false advertising. When you buy a 2-year protection plan, you expect help anytime during those two years, not to be bounced between companies or charged extra just to start the replacement process. Customers deserve better transparency about what this plan actually covers and when it applies.

    I am disabled and in a wheelchair, I purchased a 50 inch TV and almost 2 years ago and I thought that if I had an issue with it, but when I called about it they said that due to the size I qualified for in home service. The rep who came was very nice and helpful and answered all of my questions too. I plan to renew my extended warranty with Best Buy and I am happy that Best Buy now keeps a record of all of my purchases so I don't have to keep track of a faded receipt to make a claim on my extended warranty. I also got one for my sound bar and because they didn't have that particular type they said that they they will give me the next upgraded version of what I had.

    While warranties themselves are a total cash grab by every company ever, when buying a brand new TV thats $1000+, you'll thank yourself for getting this warranty. I got a 5 year warranty on my 65 LG CX. It covers burn in and will replace the device if anything goes wrong until 2025. Even if nothing goes wrong, that piece of mind is worth it for a $2000 television. No other warranty on the market covers burn in for OLED tvs. And I wouldnt buy a single year play let alone a 5 year plan from anywhere else.
