I always purchase the protection plans from Geek Squad. I haven't had to use it for this item, but over the years I have used them several times and never had an issue. Multiple times items have had to be replace, I always ended up with a newer and better product. This is a good on investment if you plan on having your item for awhile.

Get the 5 Year warranty because Best buy back's it up 100 percent any problems get a new one or a different one for the same price.....

I have not used the Geek Squad for the TV , I am relieved to know they are a call away. I did use the Geek Squad for my computer an its was SUPER easy and fast!

Geek squad always has your back. I fortunately haven't had to use their services on my TV but know they will be there if i need them!

Always make sure you purchase these Geek Squad plans when investing in electronics. Best Buy does a great job taking care of their members when you have issues with your products. I had the protection on my old TV. They couldn't fix it so they gave me a new one. ( NO HEADACHE OR EXCUSES) They stand behind their warranty. I would recommend everyone take out The Standard Geek Squad protection. It saved my pocketbook about 600 dollars.

Geek Squad protection plans are affordable and give me that extra peace of mind with my Best Buy purchases. i got a problem before with a tv, the send a technician, and they give me a gift card for the amount i paid, because the tv was not fixable, so next time i got the service again, so i dont loose my money
