I bought a 5 year warranty for my brand new tv. And I know if needed, Geek squad to the rescue, I've delt with them before and they are amazing. If you buy a major appliance, you should always get a warranty.

Great feature to have when purchasing products at Best Buy

I always get service plans with purchases just in case something goes wrong. I would recommend any customers purchase protection plans with any type of purchase made. Nothing in this life is guaranteed. All manufactured items built and designed could possibly have a defect or become inoperable.

You can't beat getting protection and troubleshooting abilities with expert technicians when it comes to your electronics. I've been dealing with Best Buy for 15 years and have never been disappointed with it's services. I ALWAYS get the Geek Squad Protection Plan for peace of mind and assurance of my product. Did not need a full service install, but prompt and curtious service on time and they called ahead. Good service.

Just had ro drop off no setup.the delivery people was very helpful wirh service.

I did have to have tv replaced due to a faulty audio port. It was a painless, quick process. the extended warranty gives me peace of mind.

I'm not a big fan of warranties on small electronics. But for a $400 TV . . . I bought the 2-year warranty for a little over $20. I figured that if something is going to go wrong with the set, it should happen within two years. Otherwise, it should be OK. Then it would be time for a new TV, anyway. My only interaction with the Geek Squad was on a carry-into-the-store computer problem. They diagnosed the problem and recommended a self-fix (which worked), and charged me nothing! I was impressed.
