    Bought this for my teenage daughter, as she watches either Netflix or Hulu exclusively and is well-versed with the Roku box on our family TV. Pros: Easy setup, although you must go through the laborious process of activating and authenticating across all of your subscribed services (not a fault of the TV). Picture and sound quality are more than acceptable. Picture is better than on our famous-name bedroom TV, which we bought for 10x the price a few short years ago. Cons: Just one, so far. Someone else gave this a single star rating because they could not activate the star (*) option on streaming services to customize the picture settings. I too had this problem, until I added a device (PS3) to an HDMI input and found that I could bring up the option menu on this new input. I then went back to streaming and was pleased to see that the * option now works! Apparently Insignia is not aware of this. I opted for the 2-year service option for around $30, as I have some concerns about long-term performance. Very happy for now.

    The Geek Squad Protection Plan is great! I had a different 65" tv thar had a problem with the screen. After just under a year, the screen went completely grey. I had the Geek Squad come and check the tv out. First they changed the PC board but that did not help. Next I got to exchange it for a new 65" tv. The process was fairly easy. The person that I spoke with on the phone to help me with the exchange was so nice and very helpful. She let me know my choices of tv's and put through my order. The new tv arrived in just a few days. I purchased a new 5 year plan also.

    While it took several days longer to get a Geek Squad agent to my home than I would have preferred, their performance was stellar. They quickly diagnosed the issue, explained the problem clearly and discusses next steps. The following day the agent who came to home informed me that there would be a delay in obtaining the need part and arranged for a complete refund of my purchase, service contract and taxes so I could replace my Hisense TV with a new set of my chosing. In the end, I have a new TV, a new 5 year warranty and almost $100.00 in store credit left over.

    Diagnosed and fixed the issue in about 10-14 days. Much better than using manufacturer. It's about the people, so a big thanks to the technicians. If BB didn't have this, I would buy from another online retailer.

    The agent I talked to was very helpful and took care of everything. I was very happy to find I was actually able to get a new replacement TV at no cost. I only had to purchase a new Geek Squad protection plan.

    Protection Plans are pretty expensive but when you need something repaired or replaced the agents are on it, and it's usually a fast and easy experience.

    I had a 4.75 year old TV that died, it was not repairable but had a5 year service plan... Contacted BB Geek Squad, once determined status they put me in touch with a different team, in about 15 minutes they settled for the total cost of the broken TV (less service plan cost). I used that money too heavily discount the replacement TV. Very happy with the whole experience.

    I always buy protection plans from best buy on major items. One of the things that I appreciate is that as a best buy program member, my account is on file, so I never have to keep receipts. And I've found customer service at best buy to always be amazing. In many years shopping here, I've used the protection plan once. Funny thing is that it was on a portable cd player almost 2 decades ago. I had left the player in my car and let the batteries corrode. I didn't even know I had purchased a protection plan. Then 1 day I get an email from best buy letting me know that my protection plan was ending (and I think asking if I wanted to get a new plan). I went to my car, found the cd player and brought it back. They didn't even make those anymore at that time, so I was able to get a stereo instead. Lol. That was so long ago, I'm not sure if they even would do that anymore. But, it made me a loyal customer! And also convinced me to always buy the protection!

    A warranty that you want to have, security if you have a problem they will address quickly if there's a problem but I never had any problems with Samsung TVs.

    Think about passing up Insignia and Geek Squad

    Bought the TV in 2019. Power board failed and replaced in 2020. With warranty still left in 2024 the TV fails again and they tell me it possibly won’t be covered/will be junked. What’s the purpose of the warranty???
