That TV ended up with failures covered by the Geek Squad protection, and so Geek Squad replaced my TV with a latest model year version. I had paid the early adopter tax for the 2018 TV, and the protection of Geek Squad helped by basically getting me a new TV with next to no hassle on my end, and the value of the protection meant getting another 5 year protection for this new TV. Hopefully no issues with it, but if something does happen with the TV I'm satisfied that I'll be covered if something does happen. They came and installed it quickly and set it up for me. They also took great care to mind the space, so there was no issue with having them in the house. Not sure when I'd make such a purchase, if/when I ever buy large stuff that has a reasonable chance of failure, I'm getting Geek Squad protection again.
