Added a five year warranty to my 55” Sony TV to make sure it’s covered.

So I bought the warranty for my 40 inch TCL on October of 2023. I called in cause I had a ghost image and I couldn't get any thing for local channels to work on this Tv and I tried 4 of them. So I called in and they said I had to bring it in or they could charge me to send repair out for service. I had a warranty that said you would never be charged?? So I just had shoulder surgery in May. It didn't go well and now in 2 weeks I am about to have my second surgery on my shoulder. I am older in my 60S. I brought the Tv in and the gentle said I wasn't supposed to bring it in. I would have to take it home and they would charge me. I have a warranty. I told my problem. Then he said he would check if they could replace it for me. Then he came back and said he would have to send it out for repair and it would be more than 2 weeks. I am having surgery and really need to have my Tv. I have always made Best Buy my first stop with TVs. I am going to replace my Tv in living room soon. But I am disappointed that not if I get my Tv I won't be able to install on wall with one arm. Just very disappointed with the overall process. I was hoping for a better outcome.

I do not get service agreements anywhere but here, the geek squad is the best.

Didn't have to have them set it up but the coverage is worth the price.

My email notice had the wrong TV noted as UHD 4K but I ended up with the UHD I called to report - assistant assured me that as long as the SKU number was correct I will be fine.

I wouldn't purchase a major product with out a Geek Squad protection plan! Love the Geek Squad! They are the best.

Bought a new 4k curved tv. Haven't needed to extended service and hope I don't but it's always good to have, just in case.

I like that best buy offered such a long extended warranty. My last tv I got from BJs burned out right after my 3 warranty ended.
