    5 yr Warranty

    Since the Samsung t.v. collapsed with in the first couple of years, and my t.v. was replaced with a Sony, because of the 5 yr. warranty I bought in the beginning ~~ I bought another 5 yr. warranty for the new Sony.

    My nephew took it out and assembled it with no trouble at all. I bought the warrany for my peace of mind. It was my first time purchasing a tv with these capabilities and wanted to be sure I got good performance from it.

    The Geek Squad is at the store!

    I am hoping this Geek Squad Protection is a lot better than Allstate's. It wouldn't take much to be better than Allstate. I like that the Geek Squad is part of Best Buy and not some corporate insurance company that is far away and difficult to contact. With the Geed Squad I can go right to the store and start the process with actual human beings.

    Very happy with the extremely comprehensive protection of the Geek Squad TV Warranty package. Including Burn-In in the warranty makes this easily the most secure warranty around.

    Geek Squad Warranty

    Geek Squad projection is well worth the purchase. I used it for a TV I had for 4 1/2 years. I wish it was a little more simple use the protection though. I couldn’t bring TV in store. I had to wait for a service tech to come to my house which to took over a week. After tech came to my house later that day I was able to go to Best Buy and pick out a new TV with the credit they gave me for the old TV.

    I never disappointed at Best Buy or Geek Squad’s quality of service. I haven’t had to take any help from Geek Squad for my recent purchases. But I have in the past and I never regretted my decision.

    Comes in a box that is not properly reinforced

    The TV is put in a box without adequate protection. FedEx damaged the box and the TV inside. I called Best Buy and they gladly replaced the item. However, I had to return the broken one which I told them that I couldn’t do alone since I have back problems and live in a high floor in the middle of NYC. So Best Buy made arrangements for a UPS driver to come to my place and pick up the broken TV. A UPS driver came to pick up the TV and neither bought the labels nor scanned it so now I’m stuck with having to pay for garbage. It’s been 3 days and the UPS system now reads that there was an attempted delivery to bring the labels even though the TV was already picked up. Unbelievable!

    I had one year left on this extended warranty which really paid off about a year ago when I returned to my summer and found my 75" Panasonic dead. The first technician who showed up was less than friendly, though in all fairness, did a good job of the initial installation, when I got my regular Geek Squad tech out to finish the job, everything worked out beautifully.

    I buy from Best Buy even if I have to pay a little more because of their protection plan. I feel more at ease with the geeks than alot of the other retailers, plus the product normally outlast the warranty, but I get it just in case for big ticket items.

    Bought this tv in Dec. 2000. It was a decent tv at a great price until the screen no longer worked. Geek Squad to the rescue. My tech Josh was the nicest guy and very knowledgeable. He diagnosed the issue and gave me a step by step answer of how to resolve my issue. I couldn't recommend Geek Squad enough and will never go with out it again.

    Protection plan for OLED tv is a must

    I bought the 5 year protection because like many, I want to feel at ease with my purchase. This is a must for any OLED purchases because if you do your research you know any fix is not cheap. This service covers most problems, burn ins etc. Plus knowing you don't have to haul your TV into the store and they will come to you (depending on tv size I believe) is a plus. I will enjoy my oled tv purchase, knowing I covered for 5 years
