    Many people tell me these warranties aren't worth it. My Hisense TV started to fail 4 years into ownership. Called BB protection and since they no longer sell that model had me pick out a new one at the same price (Found one that was pricier but on sale) and they delivered the new TV and took the old away the next day. Great service.

    DEFINITELY RECOMMEND FOR OLED TV PURCHASE

    OLED televisions have gotten much better about image retention and burn in but it is still possible no matter what they tell you. Best buy service plan states in its coverage that it covers Burn in on OLED televisions and as far as I know nobody else does no matter what coverage they purchase. Televisions these days aren’t made to last no matter what brand you go with it and I’ve read tons of reviews of flagship TVs going dead with months of purchase and many just after the one year warranty expires. It cost a little extra but I feel better knowing I’m good for at least 5 years.

    Over all I am satisfied. I owned an older model—store bought, new—for 7yrs. before it stopped working recently. so I decided to buy the newest model. I must say I am extremely satisfied. Video, sound, and gaming graphics—all which pair nicely with my ps5–are superb. The size is perfect for the bedroom not to exaggeratingly huge or small and I had to stop using my sound bar because the sound quality of the new tv was exceedigly better—the tv being mounted. Overall extremely satisfied.

    Get a Geek Squad protection plan!!

    In my personal opinion a Geek Squad protection plan is a no-brainer for most of Best Buy's products. I especially get them when I buy a TV, they've saved me more than one time when a TV is just stopped working. To pay the reasonable price for a 5-year plan, to me is a no brainer. I personally don't recommend the 2-year or 3-year plans for TVs, most TVs don't last longer than that (planned obsolescence). A Geek Squad protection plan is more suitable for a television let's say over $400 or $500. You can't replace a TV for the small price they want for the protection plan. So even if you don't use it, because your TV outlasted the 5 year protection plan. Just know that you happen to get a TV that outlasted it's useful time (planned obsolescence). I've had many flat panel TVs in the past 15 years and most of them did not last more than 5 years. Over those 15 years The Geek Squad has either repaired or replaced my TVs with virtually no hassles. In my opinion A Geek Squad protection plan is a must.

    They set up an appointment for anin home visit within the week that I called. Because of COVID Brandon from the Home Theater Department of Geek Squad (Home Theater Dept handles large TVs), took information from us over the phone to diagnose the problem prior to coming to our home. Based on our description he attempted to order the part he suspected was the problem. But the part wasn't available. So they called and told me I had a choice of an exchange for another of the same if it was available, another comparable tv costing the same as what I had paid for this one, or store credit for the total amount I paid for the original television. We chose the store credit. Within minutes I received two emails. The first was a copy of my original receipt. The second was the link for the store credit. It required my phone number and a Pin number that was on the bottom of the receipt from the first email. One click later and I had my store credit. It was really that EASY! We dealt with several people along the way. They were always pleasant and took their time to help us. By choosing the store credit, my husband and I were able to shop the current sales, decide if we wanted to downsize from 75", whether we wanted to spend less this time or maybe spend a little more. But several hours later we choose another 75" TV just not the same one. And YES we'll be purchasing the 5yr Warranty Plan again.
