This was my first time purchasing a warranty plan under Geek Squad so I don't know quite what to expect until (God forbidden) something happens to my purchase. But overall, I was impressed with their knowledge and friendly customer service and didn't want the same thing that happen with my old TV to happen with this new one, so I went ahead and purchased a 2 year warranty plan.

I love that I can take my product to get fixed anytime.

Wanted to safeguard my investment and it is worth it

I bought a Bosch Dishwasher a few years back, and I got 5 year Geek Squad Protection. The dishwasher developed a problem where it wouldn't drain and so would refuse to run. I've already had Geek Squad come up 3 times, and 3 times they've been unable to fix it. Each time, getting the next appointment takes a week. They clearly don't know what they're doing, but they doggedly refuse to give up, dragging it out further and further and further. I suppose the strategy is that they are making me choose between not having the use of a dishwasher, or giving up a lot of money and either replacing it (you better believe it will be from a different retailer!) or getting another, more capable company to attempt the repair. Either way this has been a terrible experience.

I hate that it’s so far away. I live an hour away and I had to go twice in two weeks because they had to send my switch away to be looked at then they decided that there were just going to replace it. Why I couldn’t have just gotten the new one online I don’t understand.
