Been without use of our refrigerator for 17 days. 1st repair appt stated they were unable to repair without ordering part. 11 days later they replaced the mother board. Unit is still not cooling. Best Buy has to send out another 3rd party company to confirm the replacement was done and the unit is not working. Appointment has yet to be made. Followed protocol given by representative to have the unit repaired and if unable to be repaired they would replace unit. Now I’m told there are additional processes in the protocol. I’ve spent over five hours on the phone with representatives with most referring to them approving the $300 spoilage claim has a consolation, this claim didn’t even cover everything lost. If I could give negative stars I would. I would never buy from Best Buy again, and hope you read this all in it’s entirety and use this as a cautionary tale and seek a different company to buy your appliances from.

Don't waste your time and money on Best Buy or Geek Squad for appliances. I always had good service from GS in store on computers so I bought the service plan and warranty for a new Kitchen aid s\dishwasher in 2019. When I needed service, I spent 30+ minutes listening to their torture music and finally got an "agent" who scheduled the repair. Repair person said that a new pump was needed and had it sent to my house and scheduled a follow up appointment to install. All good so far... But on the day of the appointment, we got a call and hangup at 6:35 from a blocked number.. At 2:30, I called GS and listened to another half hour of their wonderful music. Agent Useless answered and claimed that the repair person had called at 6:35 and didn't; get an answer. Apparently, he ordered the pump but not the clamps that he needed to complete the repair and would contact us to reschedule the repair. Useless would not give me a number where I could contact the repair person directly. Now that's great service!!! And it's the last household appliance that I will get from Best Buy. UPDATE: After 9 days, I received the clamps that the GS technician didn't order. They were regular hose clamps that are available at any big box store. Technician arrived today and looked at the pump that he had shipped to me two weeks ago and a part was missing. I guess I was supposed to do his job and inspect his parts before he arrives. And guess what...Geek Squad and Best Buy couldn't care less.

This is an excellent buy! Though I haven't had to use it, it's great reassurance!

Have purchased SOOOO much from Best Buy over the past 20+ years - Sadly, this computer tech pkg turned out to be a waste/rip off. Best Buy in Savi Ranch/Yorba Linda, CA promised to extend our plan when COVID hit and we could not get the tech services we had paid for. And without naming the gentleman/Mgr who promised us to make things right, but never bothered to follow through on anything he said to us, nor replied/responded to our calls/texts, we never were able to take advantage of our Geek Squad contract, and never heard back from the Mgr and/or Best Buy again. They just took our money and ran! Haven't purchased anything from Best Buy since!

Can not beat the protection that they provide. By far easiest to work with.
