Pros: TV looks great in a sunny lit room or at night with proper settings. Reflection blocking coating works well (i have a window w blinds adjacent to it). The special smart tv bluetooth remote is cool. When hooked up to wifi, get the samsung app on your phone. You can easily throw youtube stuff you find onto the screen or play movies and pix from your phone. netflix, amazon prime etc stream great. 3d looks good to me, though 3d on a 46 in screen isn't ideal, its still cool. Tv is nice and flat and mounted flat on my wall. USB is a simple way to have movies and pix right there internet runs smooth having this tv turn your cable box on and off w the infrared beamer is really cool. it can also change channels but is laggy vs the real controller. voice control is neat but doubt ill use it. Cons: having some of the connections stick straight you the back vs being sideways affects how close you can get it to the wall. not many options for old connections like vga or rgb without finding adaptors

The best warrenty for a tv repair problems when you need it

I had a 4.75 year old TV that died, it was not repairable but had a5 year service plan... Contacted BB Geek Squad, once determined status they put me in touch with a different team, in about 15 minutes they settled for the total cost of the broken TV (less service plan cost). I used that money too heavily discount the replacement TV. Very happy with the whole experience.

Affordable price and makes a lot of sense for a television investment

Great to have this just in case something goes wrong. I bout it and the one time I used it my tv died got money back. I forgot about the warranty I had but got an email to renew or it will expire!! That’s how I got $$ back! Just for that reason alone I bought another warranty!

They mounted my TV with no problem. They took out all the packaging materials and TV box and hauled it off. They answered and showed me how to use the TV. Highly recommend them!

I've never made a large purchase at Best Buy w/o the Best Buy Standard Geek Squad Protection service. A Best Buy Geek Squad Agent recently determined my Sony XBR-70X-850B had a bad panel / display after two years. I was provided a phone number to call for a replacement. Although I wasn't given "full credit" or what I paid for the TV two years ago, it was close to what I paid two year ago. I asked about upgrading to the Sony XBR-75X940D, and to my surprise, I was able to apply the "credit" towards a brand / model that was a "step-up" from what I had. Within 10 days, I had my new TV (Sony XBR-75X940D) delivered by two Best Buy Geek Squad agents and set up in my home. I won't ever go without the 5-year Standard Geek Squad Protection plan.

Used mine on a floor Model tv Turns out it had an issue that rebooted it every 30 min. Was totally worth it

I know anything will go wrong with my purchase but it's nice to have some security just in case. The price was a little high for my taste but again I think it's worth it for the 2-year coverage

When I invest in a big-screen tv, I want to protect my investment! That's why I always buy a Geek Squad Protection Plan! I've needed to use the warranties on several occasions, and the experience was very satisfactory. Sometimes they replaced the item, refunded the purchase price, or repaired the item. I actually have a 3 1/2 year old blu ray player in the Geek Squad shop right now--under a 4-year extended warranty that I purchased for the item! This time they are repairing it, but that's fine with me. It's so nice that after using it for 3 1/2 years, now that it's not working my extended warranty is kicking in and more than paying for itself!!!

Bought the TV in 2019. Power board failed and replaced in 2020. With warranty still left in 2024 the TV fails again and they tell me it possibly won’t be covered/will be junked. What’s the purpose of the warranty???
