    I believe you should always get protection plan for purchases this big and it was quick and fast and affordable.

    We purchased the protection plan at the recommendation of the salesman at Best Buy. We were purchasing a new Samsung SMART 3D 4K TV and he thought we should have it for our peace of mind. We have problems with our power going out when it gets windy, and we were told that power flickering and power outages can potentially damage TVs. We opted to purchase the protection plan so we could feel better about our large investment in our new TV.

    Unless you want to lose money instead of getting the item repaired/replaced with store credit, I always recommend family and friends to get GSP. it's worth the extra bucks in the event of any issues the item you have develops.

    Flat screen service contract

    Highly recommend taking policy out on flatscreen purchases that are several hundred dollars or more...may not need to use the contract but gives you piece of mind. If sets break repair costs are inevitably high so contract is with it. Had to use mine a month before the 5 year expired and it was honored. Set fixed and good as new. Worth the money.

    75” tv purchased salesman said purchase the warranty, I asked does it cover accidental screen damage. He said yes it does! WELL IT DOESN’T and now i have no tv and out $79.99! Went to the store manager said oh well i can’t control want lies my employees say. Almost blew my gasket!!! Best Buy should be held accountable for what your employees tell us the customers!! Lies and deception to sell a protection plan and take peoples hard earned money!!!

    Geek Squad is always there to have your back! I dont have too many problems, but when i have, The Geek Squad has always been there to help, and be worth every other time I've purchased this protection!

    As this was a gift to my mother I purchased the warranty so I could have someone go to her if the item needed repair. This makes everyone’s life easier

    I have had overall luck with the service for the past items I've purchased in the past. Most times they provided a box to ship back the defective product and they send a replacement quickly. The only time I needed to go to the local store was to move data from an old PC to a new PC. The staff was pleasant overall, however needed to get the supervisor involved to cover the data transfer per the agreement of the plan since the team member was new and unfamiliar with the plan.

    I used to be against extended warranties with the thought that it was just a waste of money. Then I married a woman that thought she could fix anything herself and typically did more damage. Now I buy the Geek Squad warranties on everything I purchase with implicit instructions that if it breaks, schedule maintenance!

    I haven't gotten to use the extended warranty...so not sure yet. But... I had a 65" going bad. The manager said they would cover it, but the screen was cracked in a corner. I was ok with the crack, it didn't affect the TV and was there for over a year. The TV started going dark and 'glitching' non stop. I do not believe it was related to the crack at all, but the they would not touch it with any type of damage. So...I really didn't get to see how the warranty works, other than it doesn't cover damage. duh... Apparently there is no damage coverage available on larger TV's at all. Bummer...
