The tv quality is amazing, the sound is also amazing. I love how if I lose my remote I can use my phone as the remote.

The Geek Squad is the only way to go. So helpful you really need to purchase the protection. My last TV died at only one year old. I received full credit on my purchase price. Don't leave the store without it :)

They were nice and helpful when my TV screen went black. I tried for hours to reset it by unplugging it and waiting and plugging it back in to the power outlet. Nothing worked.

If you can, I recommend getting Geek Squad protection on electronics such as tv's. A few years ago, I purchased a smart tv for my son and had it for about a year before it completely went kaputt. It always had issues toggling properly through the apps and would sometimes take ten minutes switching from one app to the other. Luckily, I did purchase Geek Squad protection and was able to get another tv since there was no way of fixing that one. We went with a different brand and have had no issues since.

I haven't had any need for this yet, but it is nice to know it's there.

I feel my TV purchase is secure with a Geek Squad protection policy, they are local so I don't need to worry about much of a wait time for any service I may need. 5 year protection at a very fair price is well worth my peace of mind.

Purchased a Sony TV in June, along with it I purchased Best Buy's 5 year extended warranty. The set developed a problem in Nov. Called the Geek Squad and described the problem. The knowledgeable representative diagnosed the situation over the phone and explained it was a panel failure that could not be repaired. He emailed me an exchange order to bring to my local BB store. Brought the paperwork to the store and they set up a delivery/pickup date for 2 days later. Had I chosen to bring my set in they would have made the exchange right there in the store. All of this took less than an hour to accomplish. Two days later I had my new TV...WOW! Throughout this process every person I dealt with was extremely courteous and helpful. They even offered to let me apply my original purchase price towards any other TV that they carried. Love my Sony so I told them "no thanks". Purchasing that extended warranty was truly a Best Buy for me.

A must to have with the technology today. I purchased it to be on the safe side.
