Horrible TV - Do Not Buy!!!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Color and brightness are great but the motion rate is AWFUL...My older TV I had before this was better and now I’m just past the return policy. Don’t buy this TV unless you’re just using it as a picture frame. Motion is always choppy no matter the setting I adjust. Their ProMotion 360 frame rate is a joke, I would say 30 would be generous...not impressed and will never purchase a Vizio TV or from Best Buy again due to their poor quality and short return policy.

Defective Vizio
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Came defective and still trying to get it fixed. Makes popping sounds in speakers and makes a screeching sound sometimes when I turn it on. But when it works normally its a great tv.

We hated this TV
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We had a trouble-free 37" VIZIO for nearly 15 years, so when we decided to upgrade to a smart TV, we went with this one. It was a pain in the butt from day one. We had to unplug it and plug it back in to reset it nearly every day, sometimes multiple times. It rarely just worked. About six months after we bought it, we got so aggravated with it one night, my husband threw the remote at the screen. It took a chunk out of the glass and the display immediately pixelated. We threw it away and got a Samsung. We haven't had to reset it once.

Meh
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had this tv for a little over a year. Several times now if we unplugged it, the screen would take forever to turn back on. Like it froze. Come Saturday and the tv decided to not come back on again at all. Frustrating for only being a year old. The picture quality and sound are the greatest. Was happy with the tv until this issue started. So we picked up a Samsung on Sunday instead. Don’t think we will buy Vizio again.

Incredible Red color but powersaving mode probs
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The red color on this tv is so much better than other tv's i've owned. Wait till you see the youtube logo on it! My only issue is that I wanted to run this tv with the sleep mode enabled where it doesn't stay always connected to my wifi (even when the power is off). If you enable that mode you'll find yourself constantly having to "soft power reset" the TV which takes like 5 hops through the menu and at least 2 mins to complete so you can get the TV back online.

Terrible interface, filled with ads
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recommend that if you buy this TV, make sure you try out the interface in the store before bringing it home. They keep it on "demo" mode for a reason. The interface is awful. 1) The primary display is filled with ads. When the TV comes on, the ads , and the Vizio sponsored channels take up 75% of the screen and are automatically selected. You have to move off them every time just to jump to any other app like Netflix. 2) TV start time is very long, I am guessing because of the time to load ads. 3) Unlike a my other Roku tvs/devices, you can only add apps that Vizio supports, which is a very small list. For example, I could not add Spotify as an app to the TV. Very limited choices. I returned this TV and got a Roku Sharp TV instead.

Posted .Hello James, VIZIO is committed to giving consumers access to as much streaming content as possible. If the interface is not to your preference we also include application hotkeys on your remove to immediately launch apps. SmartCast televisions also support Google Chromecast and Apple AirPlay 2 so that you can share content from the latest applications on your phone, tablet, or computer directly to the TV without the need to use the SmartCast input. The TVs also come with Watchfree, a no cost service that provides hundreds of channels with no additional purchase or registration requirements. We appreciate your feedback and will make sure to continue adding features and applications in the future.

Not liking!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At first glance its a beautiful, after using it for a week the TV it started glitching. The apps did not work and could not get either prime ,Hulu or vidu.

Posted .Hi EDS8. When you say the apps aren't working, is the screen not loading? or are the apps buffering and not playing content? Did anything change (new devices or moving the placement of the TV) around the time this problem started happening? If you could call our support team at 1 (855) 833-3221 we'd love to ask some questions to see if we can help get to the bottom of this.

2 bad units
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The TV worked great for about 2 months. Then the airplay that was built into the TV stopped working. I have an Apple TV, so it took nothing extra for me to start using airplay on the Apple TV instead of the TV itself. But then!! Another 3-4 months after this, the TV stopped working altogether. The backlight for the TV stopped working, and I needed to send it back to Vizio for a replacement. Seemed like everything was finally starting to turn around. BUT THEN!!! The replacement TV is another bad unit. If I keep the TV plugged in when not in use, there’s a 50% chance of the TV turning on when I want to use it. So instead, I leave the TV unplugged until I want to use it. The replacement TV also has a sound issue. Sometimes there is a static sound coming out of the TV speakers. I’ve been able to bypass this by putting the TV on mute, and using an external sound bar instead. This is my 3rd vizio TV, and I’ve never had any issues with my previous TVs. So you won’t catch me saying this is a bad brand. I just had some bad luck this time, and caught 2 lemons. I CANNOT recommend anyone to buy this 50 inch M series from Vizio. Just to be clear, the next time I’m in the market for a TV, I will still take a look at Vizio’s.

Ultra Thin, Amazing Visuals
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.VIZIO - 50" Class - LED - M-Series Quantum Series is a very well rounded TV with amazing visuals, a large of amount of built in apps and easy setup process. This is my first Vizio TV. My previous TVs have been Samsung, Sony and LG. I have been very impressed with the visuals, apps and setup process of this TV. This TV has upgraded an old Samsung 55” that I purchased about 10 years ago. That Samsung still works and has a great picture but the tech is, 10 years old. In pops in the Vizio. Unboxing was easy enough, but you will have to take extra care as this TV is ultra thin and a good amount of pressure on the screen will cause a crack. Vizio put markers and warnings everywhere on the screen to advise you of this. They even packed it with a thick cardboard over the screen as added protection. I would recommend having two people remove the TV from the box or simply cutting the box completely open, then removing it from the Styrofoam. Once unboxed setup on the stand is easy and requires a few screws to be fastened. Again, using two people for the stand setup would be helpful. I also left the cardboard on the screen as I knew I would be lifting it to it’s final resting spot. You have all the visual and audio connections you would need. From Optical to HDMI (ARC). Setting up the TV is easy, once connected to a wireless connection or Ethernet is seamless. Upon completion of the initial setup, you’ll be thrust into the Vizio home screen (SmartCast). This screen has a huge amount of viewing app and music options. This is what makes this truly a Smart TV. Put in your logins for each app and they are at your fingertips. I found myself using the apps more than just regular cable TV. Also, access to some of the favorites are tight on the remote control, as their own buttons. The remote is intuitive and simple to use. Each button is clearly marked and spaced out well. Sound is as expected from the with built in Dolby Digital Plus. Speaker output is 20 watts. Not a whole lot of power but you will get good sound out of them. With an optical audio output or ARC, you can always connect your external audio system. The visual, stunning. For this price point and 4K, Vizio is definitely leading and competing with all the higher end TV and brand names. Movies are absolutely crisp, clear and darks are nearly perfect. Gaming on this TV is equally amazing. Comparing to some of my other TVs that I currently have (4K) and use in home, Vizio has made themselves stand out and are nearly on par with them. Even in bright sunlight this TVs picture stays true with minimal to no reflection. I definitely recommend the M-Series line of Vizio models for anyone looking to finally jumping into 4K.

Meh...not what I expected! First and last Vizio!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I researched my tv purchase for about 2 months prior to purchasing this one and I’m pretty disappointed. The sound is trash! I have to have it on 30 to somewhat hear the tv and I’m in a studio that is less than 600 sq. ft. Also, the glorious picture that they advertised is a fallacy. I’m not at all impressed with this selection but will live with it for a little while before changing back to an LG or Samsung.

Posted .Hi Brey8833, thanks for leaving a detailed review. As televisions continue to have larger screens with thinner profiles and sleeker bezels, there is less room for large speakers. To help get the best audio quality out of your VIZIO televisions speakers, we’ve included settings like DTS Studio Sound to provide the highest performance possible, while maintaining the thin, sleek, bezel-less profile of your television. As for your picture, sites like CNet, RTings, and Reviewed.com consistently rate VIZIOs picture quality among the best in the industry. To make sure you’re getting the most out of you VIZIO TV, we’d recommend making sure your devices are connected with an HDMI cable, and that you’re getting an HD (or UHD) signal. To help adjust any audio or picture settings, you can reach our award-winning customer support team by visiting support.vizio.com for help over phone, chat, and SMS.

Bad Hardware
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Kind of a basic TV. It is easy to use and has tons of apps and features. We did have a spot of pixels go out on the tv. About 10-15 pixels. Really a pain after less than a year. Best Buy protection doesnt want to give you a new replacement. Very disappointing.

Too good to be under 400 bucks.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ok, so let me get this straight: this smart tv comes with Quantum Dot technology, optimal brightness and color settings, Smartcast, dozens of built in apps, with built in wifi, both digital and analog audio inputs, AND it can communicate with Alexa and Google Assistant? All this for under 400?? Trust me, you will NOT regret buying this amazing television, the Quantum coloring is brilliant especially in darkened rooms, contrast is beyond anything I've ever seen, great attention to detail. Only complaint I have is that the remote is a little beroken but it's not a big deal, Vizio remotes are broken to begin with. Long story short: this TV is worth it, no matter what anyone else says. Quantum color is by far the best for a budget tv. Not a Samsung QLED but closest you can get to one without spending your entire paycheck
