I thought it might be the wiring but hooked the speaker wires up through a cable tester and had no problems. I reversed and the problem remained--so I knew the problem was with the amplifier, not the speakers or wiring. Best Buy claims their Insignia branded electronics are made by reputable manufacturers like LG and Samsung. I'm skeptical.

That drive is not useful unless there is also a shuffle or random feature since I did not want to resume play and forward 50 songs to get where I left off. It did have a random feature but after using this system, I find it only works with a regular CD and not the USB. Misleading and I consider this feature useless. I want my money back

The Aux was not designed for an MP3 player or phone, its a double cable and for another type of system altogether. The USB is for a flash drive, not a phone. I didn't try the MP3 player, too disappointed.

It only works on a regular CD, not even on an MP3 CD. I cannot believe it will not play random from the USB. I should have read the questions and answers first. The manual is very unclear about this issue. I may very well return the product.

That being said, it does so at the expense of standard features. As an example when playing an audio CD you can see the time in the track, but there is no track number listed. This is very problematic and a major design flaw. I'll be returning mine tomorrow.
