They appreciate the great value for the price and find the setup process a breeze. The TV's color reproduction is also widely praised. However, some customers have expressed concerns about the remote control's quality, the TV's tendency to turn on by itself, and limited apps.

Recently got this on sale and to replace a 9 year old Vizio that had issues. Beautiful screen, plenty of ports and apps. Smooth sailing to setup and use.

    Disposable TV

Technically Dysfunctional! Less than a year old, three different error messages appearing on a daily basis and just today the Smartcast home screen went completely blank. Tech support is aware of the problems, insist they are working on them and have no idea when an update will be pushed out. Though, most updates cause more problems than they fix. This TV is disposable at best. It ages quickly and the software falls apart. When first plugged in it loaded the Smartcast home screen in about 3 seconds, now after running through 2 or 3 on-screen error messages and buffering circles it takes upward of a minute to load, kind of like the tv's from the 60's! Tech support is a useless call all remedies lead to more problems. I actually have a in house service call established though not scheduled yet. I have no confidence they will be able to repair on-site. Read the consumer site reviews not the rosy ones on Best Buy, you will see the same complaints over and over again all within a short period of time after purchase.

My one an only problem is the tv turns on by itself all the time. Leave home and come back it's on, go to bed and wake up and it's on. Pass that I love it.

After reading many customer and professional reviews, I was sure that I found the very best new 4K tv for under $1000. I still loved my 55” 1080P Samsung tv that cost $2500 when I purchased it in 2010 but I thought it might be time to upgrade features and move up to a 65”. The tv was delivered in perfect condition and the manufacturer packaging was excellent. Very excited when I turned it on, until I stepped back to admire the picture. It just didn’t “pop”! I went on to try different video sources and then spent several hours trying every variation of picture settings that I could find. No matter what I did, I couldn’t get a bright vibrant high contrast picture that was anything close to my old Samsung tv. Finally gave up and called Best Buy to arrange the return. The manager that I talked with was very professional and accommodating. I highly recommend dealing with that company.

Hello JoeS, Thank you for the feedback. A few things that might help you get the kind of picture quality you are looking for. First, make sure the Display is getting a hi-definition or 4K signal. This means making sure that your source device (like a cable/satellite box) is capable of HD or 4K, and that it's connected to your Display with an HDMI cable that can deliver the HD or 4K picture. You can also change between pre-set picture modes on the display by pressing the PIC button on your remote. This will toggle between a few picture settings that look good in different situations. If your display is in a bright room, try Vivid or Calibrated. If it’s in a dimmer room, try Calibrated Dark. VIZIO

I have had the TV just a little over a year and I am VERY disappointed. The display that you see in the store is not what you see when you get home. It lags and has dark spots and a lot of the time (not all the time) its not a very clear picture. The TV doesn't work well with android and it also likes to turn off on its own randomly. I wanted to take it back but waited to long. ALL said I AM NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL!!!!

Startup speed is a little slow, and the colors / motion didn't feel as great as a Sony X-series that i have. Generally, a good smart TV for the budget.

Having had 2 Vizio TVs before this one I was happy to see CNET recommend this model. 10 minutes out of the box I had the legs on it and it was connected and running. The apps are also so amazing I can’t run out of content. This is a great TV for the price.

Picture was nice until it started flashing colors and lines on the screen and also it stopped launching apps all within 8 months. Customer service was nice at Vizio and they sent me a newer model, and now that one won’t power on 7 months later. I think I’m done with this brand.

It was an alright, buy for the price point. The color fading of black on picture is interesting on a TV. I don't know if it's a good thing?

The picture was really nice and we enjoyed the TV for about a week before it started turning off, then coming back on within a minute. We called Best Buy and they told us it might be re-calibrating and to give it a few more days, which we did. However, it continued to be a problem and since we had to return it withing 15 days, we returned it and purchased an LG 65 August 13th. We bought it August 1st and returned it August 13th, our deadline.

I wanted a 4K television with quantum LED technology. This was a good compromise of features and price. Has performed well. Make sure to get a HDMI cable with ethernet if you plan to use a home theater receiver so they can communicate properly.

I was looking at the Vizio, Samsung and LG and after reading a lot of reviews I decided on the Vizio witch looked great in the store but at home the picture just wasn’t clear as I thought it should be for the price. Another issue I was having is the tv would cut on by itself, I would leave for the day and come home and it was on. I finally returned it and bought the Samsung 8000 Series and couldn’t be happier.

Hello Jeff, your television should not turn itself on unless a CEC, remote or voice command is being sent to it. Also our picture quality is generally rated very highly. Sorry that you did not have a positive experience with your television. If you decide to purchase a VIZIO product in the future and have any questions or concerns please reach out to our customer support. VIZIO
