Very Happy So Far
||Posted .Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. So when Best Buy had that 70" Samsung for $549, I immediately wanted to jump on that deal. But there were no reviews and I knew it was a lesser quality Black Friday version of a better quality set. After having been burned the last time I bought a 55" LG Black Friday set 4 years ago(which I was still using but was so disappointed with) I did a bunch of research on the sets in my price range and landed on this Vizio M Series. I had seen the Vizio E (a less expensive model) series in a store and was blown away by how beautiful it was and how it's 4K looked almost nothing like my Black Friday LG's 4K. I passed on buying the Vizio E and went on with my life. Then like I said, saw the Samsung deal and that got me wanting a new TV again and this TV happened to be on sale for $649. It hit all the marks I had in my head that I wanted and I was so impressed with the E series I saw in person and this set had better specs and professional reviews, so I bought it. (Note the M series comes in two models. M657-G1 and M658-G1. M657 has inferior specs is not as bright and has less local dimming zones. Best Buy only sells the M658 which is the superior set with better specs and which is what I am reviewing). Be aware if buying an M series set somewhere else though) 2 days later it gets delivered and I set it all up. Set up was a breeze. It immediately found my wifi and I connected to it and it updated all the firmware and software. Out of the box settings are pretty spot on (I use "calibrated dark" and turn up the backlight to around 75) and turned on HDR on the inputs that had HDR devices and was immediately blown away by the picture quality. I've never, and I mean ever had a TV look so good out of the box with factory presets. I would literally spend days upon days tweaking my LG Black Friday 4k set trying to get it to look halfway decent. It supports HDR 10 and Dolby Vision which are both amazing looking on this $650 set. Playing Xbox One X on it is crazy good. Inputs are easy to tweak and turn on and off gaming latency mode. Pressing the info button immediately gives you the current picture quality it's in (like 1080p or Dolby Vision). The interface is quick and responsive and super easy to navigate. It has 4 high speed HDMI inputs and one composite (no component input) on the right side of the TV. On par with more expensive sets. Vizio smartcast offers quite a bit of free content and has Netflix, Hulu, Amazon and a bunch of other apps. (No Disney Plus yet but it's on the way). It supports Smartcast which is fast and responsive, Apple Air Play (haven't tried) and every smart home device can operate it (Aleza, google home. Siri). The remote is a little cheap but it works fine. The menus are easy to navigate and everything has an explanation to it so you know what settings do what. There's instruction videos included on the set as well. I have a sound bar hooked up so I didn't mess with the speakers too much so I cant really comment on them. I bought this knowing TVs (especially $650 TVs) never look as good at home as they do in the store and was not expecting what I got which is a phenomenal 65" set that has all the current HD and 4K tech with a solid picture that actually looks like they do in the stores for $650). I am beyond pleased with the set so far. 1080p content looks fantastic and 4K and HDR content looks incredible. Don't buy into the hype and settle for a cheap Black Friday model set unless all you're after is a big TV. If you want some quality and value for your money, buy an established model. Do some research and steer clear of these "too good to be true 70" sets for $298 or $549" deals because they are too good to be true.

VIZIO Came Correct with Quantum
||Posted .Owned for 1 week when reviewed.Honestly, for the price it's a no-brainer, especially if you're looking into maybe the entry level OLEDs. Gets very bright and I often have to turn the back light down, 600 nits is plenty and even in daytime viewing. HDR10 and Dolby Vision work perfectly and you can definitely tell that it benefits from the extra nits this TV puts out. Colors and contrast have always been a strength on VIZIO TVs but geez man the Quantum color technology really shines here. I'm glad they finally added that tech from the more expensive P series. M658-G1 is the correct sku you need to find for the M Series to make sure you get the model with 90 Full Array Zones, makes a huge difference over the other one with only 20, so buyer beware on that, they're both 2019 models. Interface is snappy, one of the complaints I've had with previous VIZIOs I've had. As for GAMING, I've read as much as possible as of this date on input lag and delay by the ms and from my searches the P Series has 5 inputs with 22ms of delay on 1-4, and 15ms on HDMI 5(but no HDR support on that port and 1080p max). The M series only has 4 HDMI ports and typically the P Series has more input delay than the M series from year to year since it has more processing overall to do so your safest bet is that the M series has AT MOST 22ms, if not LESS. Which is honestly excellent, been playing on numerous TVs over the years and it honestly feels way less and I play a lot of 60fps fighting games and shooters where it makes a big difference. Trust me. My ONLY CON I HAVE: Is that I wish VIZIO made it in 70-75" lol

Best tv I’ve owned
||Posted .Owned for 4 months when reviewed.Listen. I’m a tech guy. I’m also not super wealthy. So I wanted a tv that was compatible with a Dolby Atmos surround sound system (I bought the Vizio SB36512-F6 amazing btw). The salesperson tried to sell me Samsung quantum dot tv. The tv looked nice and had the features I wanted but was 700 dollars more. I kept going back to the Vizio M series and asked questions about it and he said it’s not that good of a tv. He told me the Samsung 7000 series was comparable and about the same price as the Vizio. Long story short I didn’t listen to him and got the Vizio and I am so glad I did. I’ve had this for months now so I have been able to give this review with complete knowledge. 1. The picture it’s amazing. The Dolby vision is crazy noticeable compared to your normal 4k. The colors are bright. The blacks are deep. The picture is crisp and detailed. Best movies to watch to get the full effect is Maleficent. 2nd The apps! This is better than the roku. It has free tv. No subscription, no email signup, no nothing. Turn the tv on go to watch now and you get channels like MTV and CNN etc... for free. Internet required. All the apps (most I haven’t checked all) stream in 4k AND!!! If available Dolby ATMOS! Which was a big big plus. 3rd Gaming. If anyone knows the Xbox they know to see if the tv plays in 4k they just go to the settings and see if there are check marks in 4k, HDR etc... well every single thing on my Xbox is checked. Every single one. This tv is great with the Xbox One X. Ok so what’s bad about this tv? Hardly anything but I need to give it to you 1. The tv speakers don’t have oomph. They’re not loud enough. So spend the little bit extra and buy a Dolby ATMOS surround sound and you’ll have a theater in your home. The tv speakers are just subpar. 2. There really isn’t a two. If you want above high quality tv for the midrange price this is it. If you want something cheaper bc you don’t care then go ahead it’s ok but this tv is theater quality if you have the Dolby ATMOS surround sound to go with it. Oh yah and it chromecast and streams from your phone flawlessly. No lag. No picture distortion. Connects simply with your phone. All you do is hold your smartphone to the tv and it’s connected that simple. I could go on and on but you get the point. It’s a good buy. Don’t hesitate. If something is wrong with it then it’s just a dice roll. It happens to any tv. But this one is good quality.

Best bang for your buck if you’re on a budget!
||Posted .It’s been a decade since my last TV purchase, and TV technology has changed a lot since then, so I researched for 6 months and looked at a lot of TV’s in stores before choosing this one. I’m coming from a 43” Element TV (bought for $300 in 2010) to a Vizio 65” 4K HDR QLED Smart TV, and the difference is mind boggling. Picture quality is fantastic. We like SmartCast, and Apple AirPlay. It’s Alexa compatible, so I have voice control set up as well through my Echos. I did replace the legs because they are set at a very wide 54” apart, which wouldn’t have fit on my console. I bought a set of legs on Amazon that work very well. Be sure you carefully measure your console to make sure it will fit prior to purchase. The only disappointment for me is that I can’t connect my Echo 2:1 group wirelessly for TV sound, although I was able to connect with cables. All in all a great investment and I’m very happy with my purchase!

Vizio QLED 65'' LED Extreme Color Engineered TV
||Posted .Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.Let's just say this is my Second Vizio TV. This one the Vizio 65" M Seires is impressive with black lighting dimming zones. You can really see the colors pop. You can have the tv set to Moon Bright. Or Midnight Black. I prefer midnight Black. It cuts down on the Energy Consumption the tv uses. I like to go green as much as possible. Despite having a big 65" tv brightening the whole room and some up. No need for lamps on. Between the colors and the dimming and the Dolby Atmos audio. This tv has it all. The one app on Vizio tvs I like most is. Crackle if you haven't watched or seen movies or tv shows thru Crackle. I reccomend doing it. Crackle is a Sony Company. They have really good movie titles and shows. This 65" was a replacement upgrade from my other VIZIO SmartCast™ E-series 55” Class Ultra HD Home Theater Display™ | E55-E1 | VIZIO XLED Smart TV with HDR This 55" is going to the bedroom. It was a introductory for me into the 4k smart tv world. The Black lighting is the same as the 65". It really dims the picture so you get that Theater look from your tv. I bought it back in February 2018. And have been blown by the colors that Vizio tvs offer. I have to replace a part in the 55" but it's only $50. The monitor light went out in it. But after two years of playing movies youtube, Crackle, Vudu, and other streaming services from it. It put a strain on the light engine. Also having it set to instant on is drainer on the light engine too. But it's amazing. You can turn your Vizio on by chrome casting any app to it. I instantly turn on the tv thru YouTube from my tablet. And seconds later not touching the tv at all. It's playing Lil Nas and billy Ray Cyrus old time road. And that goes for any app. Just start in on a mobile device. And chromecast it to the Vizio. This Vizio 65" has all the bells and Whistles. It's a QLED tv for half the price of a Samsung QLED tv. This tv was on sale for $649. Total was $688. Back in January 2020. Vizio is a top of the line great TV. I can say that because I have Two. Both tvs have local dimming that make movies, tv shows, or streaming apps have a stunning picture. I watched the Superbowl 50 on the 65" and I could see every detail of JLO stunning performance.

Amazing TV
||Posted .Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This is my first 4k TV, i was torn between the TCL 65" 6 series, or this one, I am very happy with this tv, it has very good clarity, and the tv is very straight forward and easy to use and to navigate, Vizio has made it really easy to learn to use the apps and tv with helpful videos and things like that. The one and only gripe i have is that the tv lags a noticeable bit when you press a button and it takes a second to respond, other then that the picture quality is impressive, the size is for a real home theater enthusiast, and the experience is something like a dream come true. If you are like me and do not want to mount it on a wall, i bought the tv stand from walmart that is $150 that holds up to 135lbs, up to 70 inch tvs, (wahlen?) it looks beautiful and it is very easy to get behind it to access the inputs, i really like the set up i have.

Good bang for the buck!
||Posted .Owned for 3 months when reviewed. So I own this TV now for 4 months and I was a little worry at first because the TV is not 120hz panel but the quantum dot and the 90 dimming zones make up for it Since is a basement TV, it beats paying an extra $2000 for an OLED or a QLED since is not a daily TV but for movies at night is great, no need to pay the premium for the 120hz panel when that bring some Funky looking artifacts in the picture and the motion blurr doesn't bother me as much anymore.
