So Frustrating
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had the TV now for about 3 months.... I struggle to get it to turn on at least once a month, the apps force close constantly, and now it intermittently does not allow casting. It's really a shame as the picture quality is quite good, but I am so tired of constantly fighting to get this television to work.

Not the best
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this for about 8 months now and the wifi is very spotty. My wifi works perfect in the house but cuts out continually on the TV. I would go in a different direction if you use the smart capability of a tv. It also turns itself on continually during the day, you would think there was a ghost operating it.

So far, not so good
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased this TV a week ago and so far, we aren’t impressed. I wish the salesman had told us that the sound on this TV is garbage, you have to have a sound bar or it’s horrible! We’ve been told the picture will be better once its been watched for 180-300 hours and it’s “calibrated,” but we’ll see. If I had it to do all over again, I would spend the extra money for a Samsung.

Posted .Hello Haymie, Thank you for the feedback. A few things that might help you get the kind of picture quality you are looking for. First, make sure the Display is getting a hi-definition or 4K signal. This means making sure that you're source device (like a cable/satellite box) is capable of HD or 4K, and that it's connected to your Display with an HDMI cable that can deliver the HD or 4K picture. You can also change between pre-set picture modes on the display by pressing the PIC button on your remote. This will toggle between a few picture setting that look good in different situations. If your display is in a bright room try Vivid or Calibrated. If it’s in a dimmer room try Calibrated Dark.

Worst tv ever
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picture was not good. Tried everything to adjust all to no avail. Tv would reboot on its own. Picture had a light white haze all the time. SmartCast would freeze up and not respond. Returned it within 48 hours and bought same size LG Nano 8. Great picture right out of the box.

Posted .Hello Britt, VIZIO’s Sound Bar audio systems are designed to give you a realistic theater experience. You should hear the bass rumble during explosions, planes flying, earthquakes, action scenes, and anything that would normally have a deep tone. You may not get these tones when watching something like a sitcom or the nightly news. If you like more information about are sound bars may call us at 1-855-833-3221

Best bang for the buck, bar none.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Having compared all the various 65” smart TVs, including Samsung, LG, TCL, Phillips, Hisense, etc. I settled on the Vizio M-Series Quantum 4K HDR (Model:M658-G1). All in all this is an excellent TV for the money once you take the time to tweak it. If you plan on using it for streaming, then hard wire it to your Internet using the Ethernet port. It is also to be noted that this set includes a built in tuner, allowing for the use of an antenna rather than cable. The number (and variety) of inputs is excellent, picture quality outstanding, sound is mediocre but adequate, and as so many reviewers have noted adding a sound bar is a vast improvement. Not recommended for the serious gamer. As this is a mid range tv, rather than a high end costing a whole lot more, keep your expectations reasonable and you will not be disappointed in this set. In fact you will be amazed. Setup was a piece of cake, (though it takes a few minutes for the software to update). Installing the power cord was confusing due to the labeling, as the label made you think the cord goes in horizontally when it actually plugs in vertically. And opening the remote to insert the batteries was baffling as well. The documentation and instruction manual is built into the TV (accessed through the remote) so you don’t bother looking for one in the box. There isn’t one in there. A few things to keep in mind: The cheaper M657 is NOT the same as the M658. With 90 Active LED Zones, Vizio M658 is able to deliver better brightness with 600 cd/m, while Vizio M657 only can deliver 400 cd/m. It still can deliver excellent picture quality, as all the specs and features of the Vizio M657 are similar to the Vizio M658, except the Active LED Zones. So if you are purchasing the M658 make sure that is what you are actually getting. The refresh rate technology that installed on Vizio M658-G1 is Clear Action 360 that based on 120Hz effective refresh rate. The key word here is “effective”. The actual refresh rate is 60Hz, NOT 120Hz. If you pick up the TV, rather than have it delivered, DO NOT lay the box down as you could damage the screen in transit. Better to rent a truck from Home Depot for $20 to transport it standing up, than risk screwing it up before you even get it home. You will also have to tweak the color settings to get the maximum bang for your buck out of this set. Out of the box, the display was rather mediocre. I achieved the best picture by using the “Vivid” picture mode with the following settings: Backlight 100 Brightness 47 Contrast 50 Color 50 Tint –1 Sharpness 60 Color Temperature “Cool” Black detail “Med” Active full array “On” Clear action “On” (Which inserts a black frame between frames giving the “effective” hybrid refresh rate of 120Hz) Game low latency “Off” Film mode “On” Color space “Auto” Gamma 2.0 Power Mode “Quick start” Surround sound “Off”. Having four different Vizios currently in use throughout the house for years I have yet to experience any kind of problem with any of them. This set is by far the best TV I have ever owned. As with any product you will have those that fail right out of the box. Or soon thereafter, regardless of the manufacturer. So don’t let those reviews scare you off. Instead pay attention to the features, picture quality, number of inputs, etc., to determine whether or not this set will meet your needs. In my case they exceeded them, dramatically. A number of the negative reviews are not the fault of the manufacturer, but rather the result of the consumer’s failure to make the necessary adjustments that are required of any big screen TV to maximize it’s potential and functionality. Not to mention unrealistic expectations. This set will not replace a top of the line Samsung, but it is a close as you are going to get within this price range.

TV is not as expected
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Vizio M60-C3, I used to have this TV. So, I wanted to change and have a newer version of M Series, I was so excited to buy this TV, but it was really bad. When I call bad, the TV Was extremely slow, in the night, it starts automatically, the color and brightness was really bad. I don't at all recommend this product for sure.

Posted .Hello Bobby, your television should not turn itself on unless a CEC, remote or voice command is being sent to it. To make sure you’re getting the most out of you VIZIO TV, we’d recommend making sure your devices are connected with an HDMI cable, and are set to broadcast in 4K (2160p) or Full HD (1080p). You can also individually adjust your picture settings in the menu. For brighter rooms try using the ‘Calibrated’ setting, for darker rooms try ‘Calibrated Dark’. We’d really love the opportunity to have our tech support team run through some troubleshooting steps to see if we can get the TV up and running for you. When you have a free moment, they’re available through text message, chat, or over the phone. Just go to support.VIZIO.com and click on ‘Contact Us’.
