Vizio cust service disappointing for defective tv

There is no setting that will allow you to see any details in the blacks and at the same time see details in the whites. The whites and blacks are completely washed out. People wearing black leather jackets look light black blobs. Faces of dark complexioned people are not even visible in many scenes. Vizio customer service will have you taking pictures of the smart cast menu for proof. This only shows three or four colors and is not a good indicator of what the tv looks like in motion. I have to say the motion is smooth, but the color is better on my 10 year old model that I replaced. I'll be picking up a Hisense H9F or a TCL 625 from Best Buy this week. Hope it is better. Glad I purchased through Best Buy. Just hate to have to pack it up, drive 120 miles round trip, and then unpack another.

Posted .Hello Wade, with display issues if we cannot resolve them over the phone we do ask for picture so we can try and diagnose it further. If we would have received the picture we would have been happy to service your unit if it was needed.

Looks great on outside but software is pathetic

But after a week of my purchase, the TV started to show the real self. The airplay feature is so bad that the videos played from my iPhone and MacBook doesn't even play properly or lag behind the audio. Three inbuilt Chromecast fails to recognize while casting from my phone. Videos take longer to play from Netflix and YouTube. The TV just goes blank by itself without any reason. Even though Samsung and Sony which are a bit expensive with the same features, I recommend buying them since they are way better than this one in the terms of software and picture quality. I had to return this TV within 10 days of my purchase and get a Samsung Q60R which is very impressive in every aspect.

Wish it lasted longer

Sucked because its a great TV otherwise. Just get the extended warranty!

TV 65" Class Vizio

The TV will randomly turn on when we are not even home. We have Googled and stopped in Best Buy for some assistance. It still happens. Our cable provider tells us that it is not a cable box issue.

Literally unusable

Posted .Hello Mark, when you see this message are you able to change inputs? If you can change the television to an HDMI input and go back to the SmartCast input to see if it loads at that time. Wait for it to say no signal. Then switch back to smartwatch to be able to see other apps.

OS is terrible

This OS is so slow and unresponsive it ruins the whole experience. Build quality is all plastic. Picture seemed fine, but not good enough to overcome the short comings.

DO NOT BUY FOR WATCHING SPORTS!

When you try to watch something as simple as the Lakers game or any other sporting event you'll find a grainy picture, blurred edges, and a sort of overly bright hue/tone that ordinarily would be a good thing, but makes the already poor image even more blurry. I suppose it's not entirely the TVs fault, sports are apparently not broadcast in 4k - so the lesson here is: ***DO NOT BUY A 4K TV IF YOU ARE PLANNING ON WATCHING SPORTS!*** I am horribly disappointed and I am past the return date on the TV. BUYER BEWARE !

Junk

Constantly glitching, and turning off randomly. Changing channels randomly, only giving you .00001 second to make a selection from its input menu. I’ve owned two Vizios in my life. The first was junk, and I thought I’d give them a try after 10 years. This is so much worse than the first one. Safe to say, I will never in a million years buy another Vizio. I’ll also tell everyone I know to never buy one of these pieces of garbage too. It feels almost criminal that I payed this much for this.

Vizeo makes garbage

We finally got one that worked ok, but it doesn't work with airplay or google play and now, less than 2 years later, the screen flashes constantly when you watch it. Never again VIZIO.

3rd Vizio that has failed out of the box

Such a huge waste of my time and energy. Each has had a different issue, this time it just wouldn't turn on. I called them directly and they offered me a technician that could come out in 3 weeks...I didn't just buy a TV so I could watch it in 3 weeks, absolute trash service. I have my first Samsung now, way to lose a lifelong customer Vizio. I still have 2 others in my house but when it's time to replace, I'll never buy a Vizio again.

If one of our products has an issue like this, we'd generally be able to repair it in 5-7 days. I'm a little concerned that you were told it would take 3 weeks, and it makes me wonder if you spoke with one of our VIZIO agents, or if you may have accidentally contacted a different service provider (some retailers offer services that may take longer than our warranty). If you would ever considering purchasing a VIZIO again, please make sure to call 855-833-3221 so that we know your speaking with an official VIZIO representative.

VISIO is more of a buy and throw away brand.

I'll still never buy a warranty or "Service Plan". It's better to spend money on products that actually works. It started having a power issue and the VISIO techs only now how to tell you to power cycle after that it is take it to tv repair shop.

Vizio customer service advise- replace as more expensive to repair than replace. Too expensive to replace annually. Will not buy Vizio again.

Who buys a new TV like that.... I'm no one, that's why it was immediately returned, now I'm not being returned my money for the warranty. I used to shop here in a basis, not anymore. Y'all lost a customer.
