      Hello Steph, your television should connect to your network without an issue right out of the box. A couple things to check would be distance from your router and ensuring that there is no interference between the television and router.     Latest firmware update broke my TV

    Was a good TV for two years until the latest firmware update (7.0.120.1-1) rendered it all but unusable. Horrible remote control lag now. CEC does not work most of the time. The set will now default to smartcast and never turn off after shutting down either an Xbox or Ps4. Just wants you to go to smartcast no matter what system settings are used...must turn off with a laggy remote control. Switching inputs is a real ordeal with a laggy remote as well. Hope you like smartcast! Support will try to convince you that if you change the settings, factory reset and power cycle the TV enough times that all will be fine.

    Smart cast stopped working after three years

    Pretty good tv until the Smart part of it stopped working after only 3 years. Very helpful Vizio support person tried everything to get it to work. The tv will not factory reset. Now we have to use a fire stick to get tv. We have never liked the Vizio remote so now at least we won’t use it anymore.

    Decent Specs, Good Price, Terrible "Smart"

    Putting aside that bestbuy lowered the price by $100 a month after purchase after the sales person adamantly declared, "100% this price would NOT be reduced for Black Friday or X-mas." The place with a better price drop guarantee doesn't sell this model. This TV has been OK. The picture doesn't really reflect the outstanding reviews by various online review sites but it is good. There are definitely shading issues I had naively thought the stellar specs would avoid, even at this price point. Generally as a basic TV screen, it a good value. The Smartcast, however, is TERRIBLE! I have to soft restart every time I turn on the TV, at least. Often, I have soft reset and "update" the chromecast app even when there is no update. A couple times per week. Chromecast/Airplay get's in a crash loop, basically shutting off every 3 minutes and the only solve has been unplugging the TV for 5 minutes. The response time is absurdly slow. Having AirPlay was a major decision driver but I am not sure it makes up for how buggy this software is.

    Buggy and bricked.

    Bough the TV in 2019. The Vizio OS has been buggy since day 1. Especially with Dolby Vision content. With Dolby Vision content the TV will intermittently go completely black and reload the screen. There are work arounds if you google for them. The real issue though is that after just a few years of ownership the IR receiver for the remote has stopped working. You cannot fully control the TV from the buttons on the tv itself (only power, volume, input). Using the Vizio App which I had configured I was able to control the tv. I performed a factory reset thinking this will fix the remote issue. Instead it has made the TV completely unusable as it is now stuck in the setup screen, but will not connect to any remotes or the vizio app on my phone.

    Keeps shutting off.

    We loved the TV image but it turns off or restarts by itself. We called customer service and followed their instructions about disconnecting and holding the power button for 10-20 seconds and turning on again. It kept doing the same thing. Then we called again to customer service and they wanted to schedule a repair visit, maybe i just got a bad one but googling vizio it seems that their TVs are prone to this problem. Im returning it today, i bought it a sams club but thought that other people thinking about buying here should know. This was barely a week after purchase. Their smartcast system is bad also. I think there should be a tv manufacturer that focuses in image quality alone, and let others like apple, or amazon tv develop the smart part in the form of third party hardware.

    I absolutely loved my tv when I first bought it in 2019. fast forward to 2024, the smart cast does not even stay connected to the wifi and it randomly shuts off. this problem has been going on for over 2 years now. i’ve decided to go to samsung and I hope to have better luck. unfortunately, I will never buy another vizio.

    Solid 4k TV! You will Love It!

    The TV has a few Picture Modes and Vivid is the Default and it's okay. I switched to Calibrated and I have to say Wow! Fine tuning is up to our personal preferences, but it's the only thing I chose to change! It works with all my accounts and smart devices! You will love it! I also have a full blow 7.2 surround setup from BB. I'm on cloud 9!
