Customers are enthusiastic about the 65" Class M-Series Quantum LED LED 4K UHD Smart VIZIO SmartCast TV's picture quality, price, easy setup, and color. They appreciate the great value for the price and find the setup process a breeze. The TV's color reproduction is also widely praised. However, some customers have expressed concerns about the remote control's quality, the TV's tendency to turn on by itself, and limited apps.

    TV Turns Itself On

I bought this TV couple of weeks ago and the picture quality is great however there were two issues with it, 1st the Home screen wouldn't come on so i added a wireless extender and the problem was resolved and the other was the TV turned on by itself at night. Much to my surprise this is a known issue and Vizio has a dedicated support page. I called the tech support and also tried the online workaround however it didn't get resolved so I returned the TV for the exact same model. Let's see if the replacement resolves the issue or else i am going with Samsung.

Maybe pay a little extra for quality brands

I’ve enjoyed this TV along with a Vizio soundbar which has Dolby atmos, but only when it works properly. Nearly everyday, I have to restart both systems to get the sound to work. Now, just 3.5 years later, I have a dark spot formed right in the middle of my screen. My sharp from 12 years ago still works like day 1. Not sure how much I trust Vizio after this experience, just to save some money.

2.5 years later, problems have started

Bought it because, for the price, it's a great TV. Was going strong for 2.5+ years, however, it has recently start showing dark spots. While these mostly go away after a few minutes, I think a TV not even getting to 3 years before having issue is not acceptable.

I never heard of the Vizio brand until I started looking to purchase a new tv. This brand and model had fantastic reviews and was cheaper in price than comparable brands. Highly recommended!!

shiny paper around a garbage present

Had to get updates from a usb computer dowload. Bluetooth wouldn't connect to the app or to a vizio soundbar. Slow and unstable interface. Appleplay, appletv and chromecast would struggle to connect the crash within 10 minutes if they did. Burnout line from the left side to a circle in the center after 3 1/2 years of very light usage. ( I mainly watched college football on it) Wouldn't consider anything Vizio in the future.

    Great TV

This is a great TV. Great colors, picture and blacks. Don't usually use the smart features, use it mostly as a monitor. If you have a 4K input it is a super clean picture. I hate the remote! I don't like complaining about thing s that don't make the picture better or worse but it doesn't feel good in my hand. @$649 you can't find a TV close to this. You'll need to spend $1000 to the quality and picture of this set. Go get one!

I’ve had this tv now for three years and it continuously doesn’t connect to the WiFi. All my other devices are strongly connected. I call because I have a warranty and they said oh it just needs rebooted. It’s like a computer. I don’t think something should need rebooted 10 times a day. The worst tv I’ve ever had.

very slow processing, loading, always losing connection. Not very smart for a smart TV. Bought in Dec. 2019 , the screen just went out today. May 2023. an $800 tv only lasted 3 1/2 years. I'll never buy this brand again.

I feel like walking into every store that sells TVs and telling them to burn their Vizios. I keep getting a green tint on the screen and I have to do some troubleshooting every time I want to use it. STAY AWAY AND BUY EITHER AN LG OR A SONY.

Noticeably bad DSE and Other Quality issues

I bought this tv during Black Friday. The first unit had excellent colors but all the HDMI sourced streaming started giving issues causing the inverted colors. Vizio was quick to acknowledge the issue via customer support and sent a replacement unit. The new replacement I got had visible dirty screen effect and banding issues which is very distracting specially during gaming and sports where camera pans horizontally. Also the power indicator is super faded that I hardly notice it when turning the tv on/off. Really disappointed and since the first unit had good colors while it worked and this one is bad panel. Tried to contact support via chat and the customer reps just try to rush the chat to closure with no justification and fix for the issues. At the moment feeling like stuck with a bad panel. May be I Hoped and expected too much from the reviews that I read online.

    Steer clear

We really wanted to love this TV. We have had this TV for a little over 6 months now and Ave had issue after issue. The built in vizio menus only worked intermittently and would constantly freeze. We ended up buying a ROKU to be able to reliably access streaming services. Now we have problems with the picture. A pixelated line will crawl up the screen about every half hour or so. So very disappointed in this tv.

Its lasted 2.5 years. The last year of that was a constant battle of having to reboot the tv once every week or two. But tonight its was slow and glitchy, so i turn it off, only for it to not turn back on. Save your money buy something else.

    Absolute garbage

Would give 0 stars if I could. Loads painfully slow. Sometimes won't turn on. Sometimes just turns off on its own. Every few days I have to reach behind the piece of garbage to unplug it and plug it back in to get it to work (which I also paid to mount above the fireplace before it started having issues). Even my 9 year old can tell that it's trash. So expensive that we're suffering through it since of course this mess didn't start happening until AFTER the return period. Two smaller Vizios that I purchased at the same time, also garbage. Guess we'll have to suffer through the next 5 years to feel like we got "our money's worth", but when I buy again it WON'T be a Vizio. Will pay more for quality.

At just over two years I have this brown bar in the middle of my screen. All indications are this is not gonna fix itself. I’ll never buy another Vizio. Disappointed. I still have a 58 inch Samsung plasma TV that is absolutely perfect and I bought that in 2007. These TVs are junk.

Just got this tv delivered yesterday. Tv turned off 2x already and when watching Netflix or Hulu, it shuts down by itself also. Not so good so far with the experience in this tv. Taking it back to Best Buy and hoping the next tv it will be better or I’m going to get Samsung instead.

    Anything but 4K looks Horrible

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Watching 4K content on this TV is awesome, probably one of the best at this price point. However, very few things are in 4K, so you are stuck with the TV upscaling 720p or 1080i content. Watching anything that isn’t 4K will hurt your eyes. Blotchy, blurry, cloudy, and fuzzy. TV is native 60hz and it shows. Spent 2 days trying to figure out the problem before buying a different brand. Night and day difference. Will never buy a Vizio again.

Hello BISc, Thank you for the feedback. A few things that might help you get the kind of picture quality you are looking for. First, make sure the Display is getting a hi-definition or 4K signal. This means making sure that your source device (like a cable/satellite box) is capable of HD or 4K, and that it's connected to your Display with an HDMI cable that can deliver the HD or 4K picture. You can also change between pre-set picture modes on the display by pressing the PIC button on your remote. This will toggle between a few picture settings that look good in different situations. If your display is in a bright room, try Vivid or Calibrated. If it’s in a dimmer room, try Calibrated Dark. VIZIO
