Many appreciate its comfortable feel and responsive D-pad, finding it a great value for the price. Battery would not charge making this product disappointing. The Bluetooth connection was strong and initial use was nice, but without the power charging consistently it was difficult to assess the longevity of the product.

Feels a little cheep but over all it works and does the job. The buttons felt good at first but over time would feel weaker and weaker and slower to pop back into place

The 8BitDo Pro 2 Bluetooth Gamepad in Black initially worked well for a few months, offering a great gaming experience. However, it stopped working unexpectedly, and the warranty was not upheld. Disappointing durability and customer support. Used if on a MacBook Pro.

i got this on sale for 25 bucks. at first it was a great controller. 3 weeks later i voided the warranty when i smashed it on the floor. the buttons, d pad and triggers either stick (auto fire) or they register a press when your finger isnt even touching them. the last straw was the d pad was pressing up by itself, constantly opening the wheel menu and my hardcore character died.

    Stellar third-party controller from 8BitDo

Currently owned the SN30 Pro+ and used it for both switch games and pc gaming. The Pro+ is great for both while having the Playstation/Dualshock layout which I personally prefer. One of the only issues with it was how to connect it to each device with a button combination, and while I have had it for over a year and a half I decided to get the Pro 2 mainly for PC games while the Pro+ is for my switch. The Pro 2 improves on that aspect with having a dial switch on the back for each compatible device (Switch, Android, MacOS, and Windows) rather than holding down different buttons which makes switching much easier. The extra buttons and profile options also allow more diverse options if you want to change layouts for pc (as PS, Xbox and Nintendo all have slightly different layouts). Everything else looks to be practically the same as the Pro+ and is a faithful upgrade to the Pro+. The only real issue noted is that the software to change buttons, make macros, and change profiles (Ultimate Software) has a slightly different version between the Pro+ and the Pro 2 and you have to download the correct one. Hope that 8BitDo can make a universal software that can detect which controller you have, but that's only an issue if you want mess around with the software, or have both the Pro+ and Pro 2. Overall, I'd highly recommend the Pro 2 over the Pro+ for the extra buttons and better method of synching to different devices. Unless the Pro+ is on sale or you specifically want the SNES version of the controller (as the Pro 2 doesn't have the SNES version) then there is no reason not to get the Pro 2 instead. 8BitDo is a really nice third party company for a controller that competes well with the Switch Pro Controller, and certainly beats out other pro controller alternatives if you want a balance of quality and functionality.
