Just got it today and its going back tomorrow.. Does not want to stay connected to switch and has left me stranded in about 5 races already because it loses connection. Also a bog hassle for all the steps to connect it every single time you want to use it.. If Switch pro. controller is off your budget i reccommend PowerA controllers, they work better than this piece of junk and even though they dont have rumble at least they wake up the switch.. Dont waste your time and money on this junk..

Feels amazing compared to joy-cons with a standard grip. This control suffers from latency problems. You can feel that it takes half a second or longer for the game to register the action. Its been a hassle playing resident evil 6 split screen and impossible to play fortnite. Would recommend for turn based or slower games. Returning this soon. I guess I’m stuck spending the big bucks for a pro controller.

Couldn't get it to hook up with my PC even though all the specs were right

The last time I tried buying a controller from 8Bitdo in 2017, it arrived dead on arrival and never worked no matter how long I charged it, what batteries or cables I used, or what buttons I pressed. I had heard good things about this newer controller so I decided to try it against my better judgment. Also dead on arrival, and Best Buy wants me to pay for return shipping on the defective product, so I guess I'm keeping it. Never ordering another 8Bitdo product or from the Best Buy website again.

I love these controllers but this one won't connect and i think the battery is shot. Trying to work with 8bitdo support to resolve issue. I let it sit for a bit and didn't follow up, just missed the 30 day return or I would try to return to the store.

We bought another similar controller because there was only one of these, thank goodness because this one is useless. It'll connect and then it will suddenly start blinking blue and lose connection

Flimsy build. Was broken in less than a month. Sits here collecting dust. Would never buy another. You get what you pay for with these controllers. This was a rare stab at the budget category for me. Never again.

Dpad doesnt feel great, moves around too much and it takes multiple tries to connect to the switch after pairing. All of these problems have been since day one.

I've owned 2 of these controllers, both of them did not last me 1 year. The buttons will all start getting stuck when pushing them down, based on which ones you use most often. The analog sticks are not consistent at all, in many games they constantly wiggle around when you hold them in any direction, which is also viewable in their own software as the percentage jerks around from 95-100% even while you hold it completely still in one direction.

i bought thinking it be like their previous remotes but its has lag of like 3 seconds on the switch buy a pro instead

Love the retro Nintendo design of this controller. But it only paired with my Switch twice. Then never again. It doesn’t even work when it’s plugged DIRECTLY INTO THE SWITCH. It might work ok for PC or other systems, but this controller is a waste of money for Switch users. Many reviews mention this issue, I chose to be optimistic about this controller and it was money down the drain. Don’t be fooled by the fancy design, it simply doesn’t work for Switch gameplay.

I purchased this controller for my son to use with his Nintendo Switch. He charged it overnight and tried to use the controller the next day and nada. The controller is dead, totally unresponsive. Now we get to venture out to the store and try to return it. Definitely would not recommend.

Works great on the Switch! I love how you can also use this on other platforms too. They didn't advertise it, but you can now (with latest firmware) connect to iOS. I use this controller on my AppleTV, iPad, Mac and of course the Switch. Response is top notch, I don't notice any lag whatsoever.

I ordered mine off Amazon (black one) and found that I got misreads on the up and down dpad directionals something like once out of every 15-20 presses. Seems like a minor nitpick, but on Mario Maker 2 or Tetris, it's awful and enough to end your match. The rest of it feels like a Dual Shock, but for cheap, you could get an 8bitdo adapter and just use a Dual Shock instead of this. Can be a bit tricky to synch.
