I own the first version of the 8Bitdo dongle and have had my eyes on this one for a little bit now. I honestly love the dongle for various reasons and its uses. First off I want to state that you may need to plug this into a computer or phone and then grab its software for an update, if you decide to use it on the Switch 2. After that its an amazing device that can save you a ton of money and time. If you have a Xbox or PS controller laying around, you can sync them to the dongle and use it on the Switch or Switch 2. Then if you are like me and play PC games you can simply remove the dongle and plug it into your PC, instead of having to resync yoyr controller to you PC's bluetooth. The great thing about this dongle is that the Elite Series 2 controllers can be synced up to it.

Works perfectly for my gaming controller! Easy to set up, stable connection, and zero lag during gameplay. Exactly what I needed for smooth wireless gaming.

Got the 8bit for my switch so i can use my dualsense with my switch. Wanted a pro controller but didn’t want to spend $70 on it, so i spent $20 on the 8bit to use any controller i wanted for my switch. Worth the purchase. Works flawlessly!!

Best adapter I've ever used. I have experienced 0 latency. Support many different console controllers. Delivery was quick. And instructions were clear enough for anyone to set up the drivers.

This is a very cheap and reliable way of adding PC support for your console controller of choice. You could always pair throigh standard bluetooth for most devices but having a dedicated channel for your controllers that isnt shared with other devices is nice. Unlike the Official Microsoft adapter this is easier to find and doesnt rely on you spending a lot of money on a controller and dongle bundle.

After a long time of using my controller wired from my pc I decided to give this adapter a chance as bluetooth always had a delay and disconnections that made the gaming experience not be good. After weeks of owning and using this adapter I have not had a single issue and have not noticed a delay that is visible. Would recommend and would buy again.

Bluetooth on the nvidia shield isnt the best, made using controllers inconsistent especially for moonlight streaming. This lil device bypasses all that. All i had to do was pair it to my ps5 controller on a pc beforehand and then just plug and play into the shield.

Works exactly as intended. I forgot to install a bluetooth adapter in my home built pc, stupidly, but this gives me all that I need. Haven’t even tested the other features yet.

Works great. Low latency. Switch Pro controller compatible. Software suite to emulate Xinput. Also wanted to cut down the load on the motherboard's Bluetooth. Love the Nintendo brick housing.

I was having trouble with the bluetooth connection on my motherboard. If I would get a few feet away from the PC it would try to reconnect multiple times. I would get about 2 minutes of gameplay and it would have issues. After purchasing the adapter I can now sit away from my pc and use my bluetooth controller correctly. I used this for a Xbox series X controller. It works amazingly. It says compatibility includes using on Nintendo Switch with it docked. I havent used this feature yet, but purchased a second one to try.

This is a very useful piece of hardware if your kid has multiple consoles like Nintendo, XBox, etc. You can reuse the controllers across different consoles and it saves a ton of money buying different controllers for each. Its also easy to setup.

What this device does really is incredible! Playing all of my Switch games with a Dual Sense Edge (my favorite controller) is amazing! Using a docked Switch OLED. But I do have to mess with it every few days. Unplug reset my controller, stuff like that. So if you plan on using this, make sure you can still access the device.

Works well and is easy to set up. Switched between my xbox and ps4 controllers is very quick. Takes less then a min to set up once you know how to use it. Great product

I've been using this to play on my Switch with my PS4 controller. Once you're properly set up and have the controller in-game, it works very well, with the Switch seeming to treat it as a Switch Pro controller with no added lag or problems. However, there are a few caveats: 1. Setup was a bit tricky. Before I got this to work, I had to first un-pair the Switch from all other controllers (including the Joy-Cons). Then I had to enable controller communication via USB in the menu (as this seems to be disabled by default) since the Switch just sees this as a USB-connected controller. Only then was I able to pair the PS4 controller to the adapter. 2. The PS4 controller cannot wake the Switch up on its own, so I have to take the Switch out of the dock, wake it up, and put it back into the dock before turning on the controller. This is not a huge deal but it's a small amount of extra work so I thought I would notice it. 3. The controller sometimes loses pairing when the Switch goes to sleep and needs the adapter re-inserted and the controller re-paired. 4. This is the big one: Occasionally, when you wake up the Switch and power up the controller, the controller will work in the Switch front end menu, but not in a game that you left running while the Switch was asleep. You have to exit and re-start the game for the controller to work. I play a lot of games like JRPGs that have very long cutscenes and/or long stretches between save points, so I frequently have to just pause the game and suspend the system without actually saving. If I wake the game up and the controller suddenly doesn't work without a hard reset of the game, I could lose a significant amount of progress if I had to pause at such a time. For me, this is a huge usability issue and forces me to knock off two stars. Other than that one major issue, this is a nice product that mostly works. FWIW I have only tried it with this one combination of hardware (PS4 controller + Switch) so I can't comment on how well it works with anything else.
