A Very sad attempt at classic VH style music

I appreciate Sammy but to me his voice never fit VH. So now Diamond Dave is back. But his voice is shot! Can't sing. 30 years of smoking does not do well for a singing voice. His golden voice has turned to coal! He struggles to sing on this album. From all the smoking, he can sing really deep and he overdubbed a deep voice harmony on almost all songs. He thinks is cool. However, it is not! It's bad. DLR used to sing well & yelp & screach. I loved his voice. Gave me goose bumps. But now you can hear that he's struggling real bad to sing. It's sad really. Eddie VH's guitar playing to my surprise isn't that great either. I'm being honest. I want to hear a great VH album. I want to feel great emotion. But I just feel great sadness when I listen to this cd. Who wants to buy this CD from me? Alex VH is still a great drummer. He deserves to be in a great band with great musicians. But he would never play outside of VH. Lastly, Michael Anthony IS part of VH - his backing vocals & bass playing are essential to VH. It's a shame the VH brothers got bitter towards Mike just because he became good friends with Sammy. It's a big loss to have VH without Anthony. So all in all, I'm really surprised that a lot of you think highly of this album. IMO, this album should have never been made. It tarnishes the VH legacy. I have to listen to VH1, VH2, Women&Children,1984, etc & try to cleanse myself & remind me how great VH used to be. You can't tell me Dave sounds good live in their concerts either! I would highly doubt this.
