A Twist In The Myth
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm not a huge fan of power metal, I'm very picky. Vocals can't be too cheesy, music has to be heavy (given) and catchy. Blind Guardian seems to have the right balance without being too over the top. While A Twist In The Myth is not perfect, it is still a great listen, and an excellent precursor to At The Edge Of Time, which is absolutely top notch. Recommended.

Blind Guardian
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The interview is a nice touch to this album and gives you a welcomed insiders look at the band. This is the first album that new drummer, Frederik Ehmke, was in and I personally think this was a great opportunity to show how great he is. This album makes it feel like he has been in the band since 1984. The songs on this CD range from slow and tranquil like Skalds and Shadows and Carry the Blessed Home, to the fast and the furious such as The Edge and Fly. Overall this may be their best album since A Night at the Opera.
