Will not credit you your money back.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ask for a credit on one surround sound I set up myself before they came. They would only give me a in store gift card instead of my money back. I will not use them again because you have to pay upfront.

NEVER LET BESTBUY INSTALL EQUIPMENT FOR YOU!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What a disaster. This was my birthday present and Best Buy ruined it. The guy they sent to install it was apparently clueless because it shut off within 3 hours of him being here. We called, emailed, and posted trying to get someone else out here to fix it, and Best Buy couldn't have cared less. In addition to ruining the birthday, they made us wait tow weeks, which ruined the Memorial Day party - no music. And, to top it off, they sent the same guy two weeks later. What a joke. He blamed it on wires he hadn't bothered to check shorting out. Really? Well, it still doesn't work. It turns on when it wants and turns off when it wants. We even sent certified letters to the corporate office complaining - no response. they should be ashamed and give us back all our money for the unit and the install so we can start over elsewhere. Oh, I asked for that and they said no because the install was my birthday present from my sister and she paid for it on a gift card. What a joke. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES LET THESE PEOPLE INSTALL ANYTHING FOR YOU!

Nothing Troubleshot. Not Worth The Money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was pulled away from the geek squad counter by the sales agent in the stereo/home theatre section to tell me, ""they", Geek Squad"", doesn't help trouble shoot setting up my home theatre system. Geek squad only does computer set up and such. Anyways, that I needed to use her "tech guy". So naive that I may be I go with it. Paid $280, for a guy to come to my home. Look at my system, not rearrange cables, not reaarange speaker cabeling, not trouble shoot hdmi might be in wrong port and thats why you dont have sound, not even turn Denon receiver on and TRY to address anything! Then tells me, "you probably don't want to hear this but you need a New Receiver. Your reveiver is out dated (10years old) and isn't compatible to your smart TV". Literally same TV thats been connected to it for the last 10yrs and trying to get the surround sound working again, due to teenagers rearranging wires/cords for gaming purposes, and I neither have the time or patience to troubleshoot the issue. Guy leaves. Nothing "troubleshot". Nothing working. I will be down this week to collect my my refund. I don't think this should be a service offered or at the very least should only be a referenced item by Geek Squad if they truly don't do home theatre.

Dissapointed!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I placed an order to have an surround sound speakers, sub-woofer,and receiver, to be installed and connected to the television from the geek squad located on, Eldorado Pkwy. In Frisco. I am not happy with the installation. Several issues with the installation and requires me to use 3 separate remotes, for the television, surround sound, and DVD player. I was told that i would need to purchase a logitech remote to synchronize all 3, but would have to pay another service charge to have them synchronized. I hate to leave a negative review since the the technician was very polite and worked hard to complete the installation. Now i am going to have to live, with this situation.

Surround sound system Geek squad failed installati
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had several geek squad members to tackle the task of installing our surround sound system with built-in home speakers. Also had a remote control that was not programmed. Process still not complete.

Extremely poor customer service
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First of all: the Geek Squad never showed up. Best Buy sent a contractor (who later admitted that he had no training on audio systems) It is now one month later and, although I was called out of town, my system remains hooked up incorrectly (just exactly as the contractor left it on 9/24/2024). Your ‘off shore’ telephone customer service is TERRIBLE. You folks better send the Geek Squad next month for my appointment. If you send a contractor, that doesn’t know what they are doing, I will send them away and get my money back from my credit card company. Wake up, BEST BUY !! This is when you REALLY NEED TO GET A DISTRICT MANAGER (level) involved to make certain that you get this right this time. LAST CHANCE! I’ve been VERY patient throughout this debacle. Call me if you need more detail regarding this matter

Poor service. No recommendations!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The 3rd party installers arrived on time. They appeared in a rush. They refused to install the subwoofer that was part of the package that I purchased. My package included the installation of apps. They advised they only due 2 (two). Total duds!

Home theatre setup optimization
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The agents were not experienced with my Pioneer SC75 which I bought at Best Buy. Nor with my SVS surround and subwoofers I bought from Best Buy. They were nice people but not sure they really optimized my settings as had hoped

Disappointed in installation service!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Has not gone well with the actuslly set up of the A/V devise to operate easily. Repeated request for a follow up visit fir assistance havecbeen mishandled. Communications between setting the follow up visit between the store personnel setting the appointment and reason for the appointment are not getting properly relayed to the in house service team. Not happy with this part of the intsallation and use of the new Denon A/V receiver. The ball has been dropped at the goal line!

Great mounting and connected. Wires hanging out
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Agents installed my TV and connected it to all my devices. Wish they hid the wires as easy access to hollow wall with no studs between back of TV and electronic stack of components. Will have to do it myself...

You Get What You Pay For, maybe
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not sure why but takes 2-3 weeks to obtain an appointment. Flyer says 24/7 365 days of support but that is not the case. Generally, when you call for service, the call is answered overseas and the y do not really understand the English language. Several times wrong tech shows up. Most techs are general knowledgeable but if you have a real problem, support is dicey. I only use the Geek Squad as alternate choices are very limited.

A mess
|Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Cables a mess. Set up was a joke, the installer knew nothing about about my avr set up. He literally said we will find out together. Again, left a mess. Best buys scope of work includes cleaning up the wires. But i am left clueless and with wires everywhere. Specified i need dirac live run. But installer had no clue what it it is Made his own adjustments and left. No help with using the new system
