||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Gave a temporary fix of my stereo connections, communication with tech and appointments was terrible.. $129.00 service fee each time they came to my home and unable to figure out the stereo issue.. suggested I come to store and purchase a replacement unit. I contacted customer service of the manufacturer and they were able to walk me through reset the system.. works great now..they were able to convert my wired speakers to wireless and that was positive..

Unhappy with lack of ability to view live TV

They left and when I tried to record a show on DirectTV, I could not access the guide as well as not able to view liveTV. This happened the first time when they first installed the TV, and again after mounting the TV on the wall. I’m very disappointed that I have missed a number of college and NFL football games. I’m hoping someone can come by tomorrow (Saturday, December 31st) and fix what is every wrong with the connection. Thanks, Jack Reed I

Disappointing.

They said they'd be back the following week to finish the job and we've never heard from them again. What they DID do was good but they didn't complete what they said. Very disappointing.

Repair didn't last.

Cox service reestablished monaural sound through the TV. Cox said Geek Squad made an unorthodox connection that was bound to fail. It still doesn't work properly. What to do?

Apparently, I was the last on their list for the day. The next day when I discovered they didn't program my internet and there was no sound on my DVD player, I called and left a message for them to return and fix these things, I am still waiting for a callback. Caveat emptor.

New av receiver with issue but no one wants to hel
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First of all they try to charge me for unnecessary charges they they guy came to my place for fixing problems he can fix or explain what happened or what should i do in that situation, i ended up buying new av receiver and that brand new out off box onkyo still power light don't work, i give up i don't want anymore, it's in the box, just waste of my money and mostly my time and energy , just to let you know I am a big customer in Best Buy I always do shop I have a account with you guys you guys can track me easily

Something’s wrong

Not happy at all
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The department that set up this appointment only allowed 45 minutes to unhook all of the components from my old receiver, plug all of them into the Denon receiver, program the Denon receiver and set up my Harmony remote control to the new receiver. I was explicit when I made the appointment, and they only allowed 45 minutes for all of that! Ridiculous. I now wait for another appointment and am praying for success so that I can enjoy all of the features this $2000.00 receiver. I ordered it in mid-October. It was not the agent's fault - it was the fault of the scheduler!!!

Home theater incompetence

I decided to get another opinion from a competitor. in 10 minutes he had everything working properly and have not had a problem since. he did tell me it was wired wrong! in the last 3 years i have purchased 12 to 15 thousand dollars in tv's, appliances, and audio equipment from best buy. don't think i will be purchasing again from best buy. I expect no special treatment but i would like to get what i have paid for!

Geeks installing 6 disk CD player

I shall try and find friends to restock the equipment so I can use it easily. The geek squad personal were not nice people!!!

Receiver and component set up.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Geek squad (Michael Turner out of Columbus, GA) set up receiver and components but ran the TV through the receiver. Now when the TV is powered up a HOME screen menu for the receiver comes and you have to use the receiver remote and navigate through two screens to get to TV. Called the next day, left message, no return call for several days. So called again in couple of days and got Mr. Turner. Explained problem. He didn't know why and would research it and get back to me. Heard nothing from him since.
