It's a brick, and it charges but nintendo can we avoid using bricks that take up 3 slots on the power strip? it's annoying. I'd go with the best buy brand.

I ordered this a week ago and for whatever reason best buy decided to ahip it theough doordash. I check the tracking every day and they keep pushing the delivery back to the bext day. Now it saying it wouldnt get delivered till the 19 its been 11 days waiting for this

I don't know if it may just be my switch or not but this is the third time I have bought this charger in hopes it would work, unfortunately all the times I've bought it they never manage to charge it. I plug it into my switch and nothing happens, I have checked to see if my outlet was the problem but it turned out it was just the charger because other chargers different from this one have seemed to work successfully.

I ordered a used product that said excellent condition. The product I received was in very poor condition because the USB C charge port was damaged and looked like it was chewed, and the charger didn't work a few of the times I tested it when plugging it into my Switch console. I returned the item immediately.

When I was looking for a way to recharge the Switch, I looked at all types of methods such ad USB-C cables, docking stations, and 3rd party AC plugs. After extensive research, I finally decided to purchase this official AC adapter. First, USB Type C cables can charge the Nintendo Switch, but it appears that the voltage is not exactly what the Nintendo Switch needs to properly recharge. It will take longer to recharge the system, and if the power source you use to plug the USB Type C cord is not powerful enough, the console could discharge faster than it charges. Next up, docking stations. I searched far and wide and could not find any docking stations (other than the official one that comes with the system) that would work from a 3rd party. The Nintendo Switch docking station was specially designed to transfer the video signal via the USB connector into the HDMI plug in the official docking station. So this ruled out finding a 3rd party docking station. Finally, I saw some 3rd party plugs that may work but where a hit-or-miss according to some reviews. Rather than take a risk, I stuck with this official charging AC plug. It's the same one that comes with the Nintendo Switch system, so you know for sure that it will work right. My only criticism with this plug is that it is a bit on the short side at 6-feet in length. A 10-foot cable would have been better to allow for a bit more reach. But luckily the length worked for my purposes. Thus, I didn't dock it any points for the length. I wanted to mention the 6-foot length, however, for other potential customers that may see this as an issue.

Replaced the lost adapter. Did not want to risk cheap third party adapters. Went with OEM

This is the best adaptor the switch has. It can charge the switch, be connected to the switch dock and also charges the switch pro controller. That makes it the multi useful adaptor. Best for charging the pro controller.

Since I travel, it’s nice to have an adapter that I can just take with me rather than having to unplug it from the console and then plug it back in. As an official Nintendo Switch product, I know it is safe to use for my Switch and it fits perfectly in my Commuter Case. Small price to pay for convenience and knowing that the adapter will not harm my Nintendo Switch. Well worth the $29.99. :)

It is a fully functional AC adapter that works without issues and is fairly sturdy. If you need one, this is good. And it works with the Switch 2 as well, though only in handheld mode.
