I was worried that i was a rare case of incompatibility, as there are apparently smart TVs that arent compatibile. One other possibility - connector rejection. I guess you need a Nintendo cord AND plug. I was using a Nintendo plug, but just a regular USB C-A cord. The Switch now works perfectly with this adapter so go figure. My system is particular I guess.

The Charger You Need

This definitely gets the job done and the best thing about it is that you can play a game and charge at the same time.

I was afraid to buy a universal charger but lucky enough to find an actual switch charger sold separately was very convenient.

Extra for camping trips
