Graphics OK, not stunning. Would be an OK purchase if on clearance but not worth it at $59.99. Air to Air combat decent, air to ground is hard to figure out at first. Story line is very weak and cartoonish. Realism is poor with this game.

This is my first time playing the Ace Combat series and this game is awesome. I use the Thrustmaster Flight Stick so the controls become second nature after a few missions, highly recommended if you are to enjoy the game fully. The gameplay is really fun and graphics and scenery is very realistic. It feels like you are actually in the air flying a real fighter pulling 9Gs. There are a good number of planes to buy and upgrade. Campaign is fun because every mission is unique. Enemies are intelligent and challenging even on easy mode. There is some replay value for campaign because you want to earn more virtual money to buy better planes especially the newest F-22 and F-35 stealth fighters. I tried VR mode and it feels even more realistic but I have motion sickness and got dizzy but that's my own problem. I was stuck playing it 2 days and till 5 in the morning. My only break was for lunch and a shower. Now I can be like a real pilot even though I am afraid of heights, LOL. This game is revolutionary in the sense that it is so realistic immersion experience.

I've been waiting for years for this game. After the franchise made the almost fatal mistake of moving to xBox, it has finally returned to its old form for its loyal fans. The VR mode is great! If you get motion sickness, you may not last long in VR mode but still worth a shot. The mechanics are great as usual and the gameplay is fun. The online multiplayer dogfight mode is good though it can be hard to get into a good lobby sometimes. I hope they expand VR mode in future updates or at least in future versions of the game.

This game is terrible. Walk away no need to read other reviews or explain why its bad. Buy something else. Anything else. You're welcome.

I have not been a long time fan of Ace Combat, this was my first experience with the franchise and I am so happy with it. I bought the game and the T.Flight HOTAS on launch day. Mainly to play the VR missions, which I wish there were more of. The experience is insane and I think they dropped the ball by not making a full VR experience for the campaign (perhaps something similar to Resident Evil Biohazard). Cockpit View with the VR headset on does a halfway decent job but it would be nice to have the option to really experience the campaign or even the Multi Player in VR. Other than that it’s a blast to play, the campaign has me intrigued (even through clunky dialogue) and the online multiplayer is like so much fun and really tough.

If you are looking for a real flight experience, this game is probably not for you. Ace Combat 7 is an arcade flight simulator that takes place in the fictional universe from the Ace Combat series. It plays very similar to Ace Combat 5 with a few modern tweaks, but the mission structure and game play is relatively the same. Paired with the Thrust and Stick remote available, this is a fun arcade simulator that brings back a certain amount of nostalgia.

Really amazing when it comes to VR but like any VR game the motion sickness can be a but much at times.

Finally! A proper Ace Combat on PlayStation since Ace Combat Zero on PS2. They updated the series in a fresh way, incorporating elements from the free-to-play Ace Combat Infinity to a full release game. The game suffers in the story and writing department, now the past Ace Combat games did not have great stories. But, they were good.

Love the views from the cockpit. Starts off a little slow and then, you better be an Ace because it picks up fast from there. All in all great game.
