This nifty machine is exactly what I needed: affordable, easy to set up, maintains a solid connection to my home WIFI, sturdy construction, very fast startup and shutdown. Great for email and internet usage. I suspect it has many more features than I actually need.

Best $159 I've ever spent on a laptop. Quick boot time, super-easy set-up, and great battery life. Only regret I have was not getting the name and number of the girl who bought the same computer who was behind me in line. Can't beat the Black Friday price either.

This little laptop is excellent for pre-teens and teenagers, and with my sister just turning 14 it's perfect for her especially when it comes to having her own and to do homework ! Basic, google and google chrome dominated, no extra complications, & the price is just right!

I took it out of the box and it gave me a Wiping message that never went away. Tried contacting ACER help desk with no luck. I want to return it and replace it with another brand.

I love this chromebook! I have had this over a month & use it constantly. No problems at all. Battery lasts a long time & recharges quickly. Very light & portable. Great price!

Excellent device. I use it for web surfing and taking to coffee shops. I have an expensive windows laptop that I just didn't want to cart around with me. That stays at home now. I haven't had any problems with this since I got it. It runs smoothly. It looks great. I also got 1tb of free cloud storage with it. Also it went on sale after I bought it and best buy refunded me the money that I would have saved if I had bought it on sale. Best buy is amazing. Great customer service. Thanks!

This is my first time using a Chromebook. I wanted to have a simple notebook mainly just for web surfing and social media. I also need a portable notebook to be able to access my website (blog) without hauling my very expensive macbook around. This chromebook fulfilled those needs. Very fast start up and fairly easy to use. I'm actually using this chromebook to write this review and it's not giving my any problems. I really enjoy this chromebook and am very happy with my purchase. That's why I bought two!

The difference between all these chromebooks , except screen size is miniscule. A $350 chromebook is not really much faster than a $200 chromebook. Side by side we are talking fractions of a second difference in rendering web pages. If that fraction of a second is worth a couple hundred then sure get a different one, but for most people this is plenty fast with no lag. Only downside is 1080p video stutters a little in the beginning, 720p is flawless.

Great little Chromebook at a great price! Perfect for surfing the net and getting some light work done in google docs. Sold my Surface Pro 3 and I use this as its replacement.

I can not watch my UBS movies on this computer ! I was told by a sales person that I would be able too. So I am very unhappy with this item !

The computer is light and sleek. Perfect for kids. She is able to do her homework on it just fine and it is great for us when we need it for something really quick.

This was dead out of the box. Second Acer product I have tried that is dead when I got it. Didnt want to even miss with it again.

I am so impressed by the performance of this Acer Chromebook. The full sized keyboard, the stereo speakers, the more than adequate display, the strong internet card (802.11 AC) and the beautiful white exterior lends a grace and luster to this fine product. The speed for youtube and netflix is outstanding...no horrific lags and it is so fun to use that my $1400 Sony all in one windows computer sits lifeless now. I love this little guy!!!

Purchased this computer for my son who is attending college. He needed a very portable computer that he could just throw in his backpack. We got it for $99 during Black Friday. He has been using it for over a week and loves it. To get the full function of this laptop, one must be connected to the internet.

Got this chrome during their Black Friday weekend and I am so happy with it. It's slim and does everything I need. I love google docs. Just as good as Outlook. It's like a tablet but not as annoying. Also love that it came with free drive for 2 years!!!

First of all I am an Apple snob. I purchased these two for my grandkids 5 and 3. Yes one is really young. I figured it is basic cut and simple. I am impressed with the ease of getting it set up. I think is is perfect for young or even elderly that does not want to figure out all the ins and outs. I just set up the second one (before wrapping them). I was just listening to some music for free on the google music.app. I must say I am IMPRESSED with the set up. I have a macbook pro and imac desktop. The Chrome computer sounds MUCH better than my laptop any day. Don't get me wrong I still LOVE my APPLE laptop. Compared to the sound it is so much better. I have to say I might get ME one just to have a backup laptop so I will not have to carry around my high dollar one. If it is stolen then well I know I just paid 130.00 vs 1100. I highly recommend this for anyone who is not that computer savvy. It is lightweight and easy to grip. Again for basic needs this is sure to please.

It was good until it lasted, the screen part detached easily from bottom part after it was dropped, now it doesn't work.

My daughter got this for her birthday in November of 2014. We brought the first one home and it didn't work. The screen was lit but nothing happened. Even though I was learey it was exchanged for a different one and when we got it home it worked just fine. My son wanted one too so we got him one early in 2015. Both of them are going strong. My kids were 7 and 8 when we got this for them. Let's just say that even though my kids are careful with them they are 7 and 8 so they have been dropped on carpet numerous times and have otherwise had some abuse. These have been used everyday for over a year and they still work beautifully, My kids only use them to watch youtube videos and Netflix and some internet based games. If these broke for whatever reason we would purchase again!!

I had a bad experience with one I bought for my daughter . New out the box and it would not turn on at all .

light weight and works well. I would recommend this laptop to anyone. The battery also last a while to.
