It's ONLY good for internet and use of google docs. The Word function is poor. You can't add apps to a Monitored User - my child, for example. Will need to get a proper computer. NOT recommended for more than browsing and ease of portability.

Port is on right side of laptop, which makes it difficult to use when charging The Pin is very thin & tiny, easily breaks when inserted into charge port. Replaced charging pin 4 times. Otherwise, I liked it a lot.

This is my second chromebook and it is very well made from the casing through the internal parts. A newer celeron chip quad core, although not as fast as the other chromebook but it will get the job done. Pros: -Quad core -Battery life -Aluminum case -4gb ram 32gb emmc Cons: -Display brightness -Storage not expandable (emmc not m.2 ssd) -No sd card reader Well those are my thoughts about this chromebook and if it's running slow when browsing it is because of the ADS from the websites just get ad blocker from chrome store. It helps load webpages a lot faster and also when watching youtube videos when playing 1080p 60fps videos and you experience some frame drops no problem get the h264ify from chrome store it will solve this issue. There you have it a very well balanced chromebook and watch out for android apps coming very soon to you chromebook.

This chromebook is not only great looking it also works great. It is sleek thin and all metal. It looks as good as any high end laptop. The display is also very good. You really get as much as you can get from every catagory that you can at this price point. And chrome os itself is great. Its fast simple and secure. For most users that use the internet a lot it's the best kind of laptop to get.

First of all, in my opinion, the very best Chromebook that is in the $300 range, is a Toshiba Chromebook 2 celeron 3215u: fastest cpu so far under $300, better IPS screen and back light keyboard. So why did I purchase the Acer you may ask? Because it was on sale for $270 and I had some Best Buy points so got it really cheap, especially when at the time the Toshiba was $399. Anyways I'm very glad I did because this model does everything I need and a bit more. My previous Chromebook was a Asus C201 (11.6 screen, 2 gigs) so the bigger HD screen, more memory, faster cpu and overall premium look is quite the upgrade compared to that. I always have more than 15 tabs open without any slowdown and can take it up to 30 before it starts to slowdown so I leisurely surf like I would on my Windows laptop. Acer really did a good job on this model.

I would look at a better laptop is you do not want to wait forever for stuff!

Bought this computer for an older family member. Could not get used to the system.

Best 200 dollar i ever spend. Decent screen, trackpad, battery life, and keyboard. This laptop is still being used today. With chromeOS now being more capable of using more apps this is worth it.

This is my first chromebook. I've been using it for a week, and the performance exceeds my expectation! Comparing to my Macbook Pro, it's lighter, portable, and easier in term of web surfing. I could easily carry this laptop around and work anywhere in my office... This chromebook simply makes my life more productive. It also brings on exceptional features, such as FHD screen, great speakers, and a responsive keyboard. I really enjoy using this little laptop even though it just simply serves as my web-browser. Last but not least, the price is competitive! Under $300, you could get a 14'' embedded on a aluminum body that gives you better feeling comparing to plastic body in the same class, what else you could ask for :)

The charger is too weak, it broke off the laptop so fast

I bought this computer as a 2nd computer. We have a Mac desktop and an Ipad mini, but I needed a budget-friendly laptop for a writing project and this fit the bill perfectly. If you have a Google account and already use Google docs, Drive, etc, then this Chromebook is awesome and a nice alternative to a Windows PC or expensive Macbook. It's lightweight , fast, and everything is saved to the cloud so you have your files no matter the device. It also has a very long battery life. The cons are no back lit keyboard and the type on the screen looks rather small to me even when you extend the windows. Overall, its a great laptop for the price.

Started out very satisfied. Then on day 6 the laptop simply died. Someone in front of me returned same laptop. Assume the price of this unit is too good to be true. Look elsewhere.

So, I was looking for a laptop to do online schooling with. I looked at everything from tablets with keyboards, to desktop computers, then back to laptops. I finally decided on getting the Chromebook over any other laptop that Best Buy had. Nothing against the other laptops, but this one was the best option for me, and I'll tell you why. Like I said, I needed it for online schooling. So, I knew i need a computer that was decently fast, capable to do my assignments, and something that wouldn't break the bank. This Chromebook is plenty fast if you're using it for school. I usually have anywhere from 2-10 pages open at a time and it always runs fine (including pandora running in the background). Its also very capable for my assignments. The wifi is quick. No issues with pages loading. Some people complain that doesn't have Microsoft Officer for word and whatnot. Yes and no. Although it is not installed directly on the laptop, you can still use Microsoft Online. Its the same thing but its webpage rather than installed. So thats not a problem. And to my bank account. I got this on sale at 269$ and it was awesome. Can't complain about what I purchased at such a low price. The chromebook also has a built in anti-virus so you dont have to buy one. The speakers aren't anything immaculate, but they are fine as long as you're not extremely picky. Nice sleek aluminum shell and the screen is great quality. All in all, this chromebook is awesome. I highly recommend this Chromebook to anyone who is taking online courses or just needs a laptop to surf the net.

This is a good laptop if all you want to do is browse the web. No way to install any programs or upload anything to it. I returned it within 24 hour.

This is a great machine for accessing the web, and I suppose for using Google Apps if that's a need. I find it's rock-solid and I love the fact that it's essentially self-maintaining. Build quality is surprisingly good considering the low cost. I love the non-glare screen!

We were told by the Chromebook rep that this item was compatible with the Google Play store. Found out when we got it home that it wasn't.

I could not get it to hold a charge, tried different adapters. Still did not work so brought it back.
