It is perfect for that. I can keep multiple windows open while doing research and Google Docs or Word programs work perfectly on it. highly recommend- its good, low priced and excellent quality.

Why So Many 5 Star Reviews?

I have a pretty solid grasp of the benefits over a normal windows computer. Chromebooks are FAST. Well this unit is not fast in any way shape or form. On paper it has the same specs as my dead HP Chromebook, which was fast. Yes This model says it has 4 GB ram. They sell a similar unit with 2 GB ram. This unit behaves like a lesser model. If I had it to do all over I would look hard at other brands. I gambled on a low priced model and I grumble about it every time I use it. Do yourself a favor and keep looking.
