Normally a laptop with a 15 inch screen weighs a ton. This Chromebook weighs just 4 pounds. The computer boots up in just seconds and the screen is a full 1920x1080 full HD, the stereo full bodied sound from the two large speakers on either side of the backlit keyboard will blow you away. Battery life is up to 12 hours of continuous use. I have Comcast Gigabit Internet and my two Windows laptops on wi-fi average about 350 Mbps.download speed. This chromebook easily averaged 550 Mbps! This Acer was easier to connect my wireless HP printer than my other computers. I went to set it up and it suggested “Google Cloud Print.” I ‘got permission’ from my printer and BOOM, it was working. I wish my Windows computers were this easy to set up printing. As far as the Chrome experience, If you’re most interested in email, watching videos, and other web based uses you’re fine. The two USB ports will easily allow you to attach thumb drives with huge amount of storage.

Got it for an aunt and she thought she wanted a MacBook or Windows machine. Turns out she loves the simplicity of it!

Took a while to get used to it after having a Dell for so long. I am now a fan of Chromebook. Easy to use screen clarity is great.

I love how fast this thing boots up and how light it feels in weight. I feel like this would be the perfect traveling companion for checking email and web browsing. The Chrome OS is quite limited in what you can do but you can expand past just web browsing with the google play store. If you want a light traveling companion for keeping up on the news and your email and watching some you tube videos this thing is nice. Battery life is much better than a standard laptop as well since a lot of the functionality is stripped away that would normally drain it. The screen is full HD 1920x1080 and looks nice. I hope this review helps you decide if this is the right choice for you or not.

I bought this laptop for my daughter. It works for school. Everything is stored on the cloud. Memory not very big

This is a great Chromebook for the price. It does everything I want it to do.

I was so happy with this machine for the first 30 minutes. The display is amazing, and getting set up was easy. If you have a Google account, use Google Docs and GMail, this machine is perfect. I also used it for remote access to my main Windows PC using VNC so I can work remotely from downstairs or anywhere I have an Internet connection and that worked great as well. So why the one star review? Hardware issues. On two different machines. Here's what happened: after my first 30 minutes of bliss, I decided to try the touch screen. It didn't work. I'm not really a touch screen person, but it's a feature of the device and it should work. I took it back for a replacement. Best Buy replaced it, no problem, got it home and the touch screen works. Yay. But during setup I discovered the "1" key on the keyboard is messed up! When you hit it, it intermittently does not work or, it'll go into repeat mode and you get a bunch of 1's across the screen. Not good. Now I have to decide if I want to go for try #3. The odds of getting two machines fresh out of the box with manufacturing defects does not bode well for longevity of one of these machines. I'd be curious to know if others have experienced failed hardware out of the box. The Best Buy rep who took the exchange said he hadn't seen one returned with a bad touch screen before. I'm going back tomorrow to return this one and try a different brand.
