I purchased this Chromebook 3 days ago. My 3-year-old Samsung Chromebook is still working like new. However, I wanted a larger HD screen for my aging eyes. The Acer surely delivers this. The screen is vibrant and overall beautiful. So far the Acer has handled everything I need it for without any sign of bogging down. I use it for finances, web browsing, online purchases, email, and creating documents for work. Google Doc's does all I need for office type work. I have had 7-10 tabs open without any problem. The speakers sound great. I am not sure why some people ridicule any laptops speakers. The speakers are on a laptop, not a megawatt surround sound system! The keyboard functions well and is backlit. I cannot give you millimeter travel distances between keys. This is something I wonder about. Do people break out rulers to measure the distance between the N & M button and say "This laptop is unusable."? Once you are accustomed to any keyboard it will work fine. For those who ask over and over and over in the Q & A section for different laptops....yes the keyboard is backlit! Try reading the description and already asked questions for the laptop you are considering before asking if it is backlit. There is no cd/dvd drive. Prepare yourself, everything is going digital. A DVD player will only weigh it down anyway. The Acer has a large screen and as one might expect it is heavier than a laptop with an 11" screen. You can find out your laptops weight by watching long boring reviews that describe how your laptop weighs .00654 ounces more than its competitor. The touchscreen is very responsive. I use a stylus and NO it does not come with one. My laptop is working great 3 days into ownership. I recommend it to anyone who wants the functions of a laptop without all the worry of Windows updates, virus protection, and thousands of settings. The Acer boots up in less than 5 seconds. If anyone wants stopwatch my estimate feel free to waste your time. I logged into my new Acer using my Google ID and everything from my old laptop was there. I use my smaller Samsung for travel now. It is nice that both laptops are in synch no matter which one I use. If it develops any issues or I find something out of the ordinary I will update my review. This product gets only 4 stars because nothing is perfect this side of Heaven.

For the money it's a great pc to surf the web etc. The picture is not great and I've seen better on lower priced laptops. The icons are extremely small so older people may have trouble. Overall it's OK and will do its job which is basic stuff, but I will upgrade sooner than I wanted too.

the touch-screen does not work!!!! I purchased two of these Acer 15 Touch-screen 15 Chromebooks. Christmas presents. The Touch-scree feature does not work on one of these Acer 15 Chromebooks. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!! Now I need to go back to Bestbuy and return this Chromebook.. NOT HAPPY!!
