Horrible purchase

Beware!!

This laptop skips ALL over the place when trying to input basic data… can’t even type a simple email without it shooting me into an entirely different screen or point on the document! Hate it!! Sorry to hear you are not happy with the performance of your Acer Aspire. Usually when issues like lock ups or slow performance occur it is due to software problems. The best way to troubleshoot something like this is to back up your data, run the recovery to restore the system back to factory configurations. Test the system and if the issues are not occurring after the restore, chances are it was a software issue. At that point you can install your apps one at a time testing after each install. Really awful teck service.

My new has all of the bad features my old one had. It's as all of the bad featers my old one had has been transfered to my new one.

There was not even an option to fix it in the settings...it was as though it wasn't supposed to be there. I had to send it to Texas for repair. So much for all of the "free for the first month" specials.

TOTAL WASTE

OH and the sound system is a joke. Speakers are pathetic

As soon as I turned it on I let it install all of the updates. Then anything I clicked had a bit of a lag. Took a few seconds to respond to right-clicks or even using task manager. Paint seemed to struggle. Returned next day.

What a waste.

Out of the box it booted right up and I was able to set every thing up. When I came back the next day it would not even turn on. Returned it, and vowed to never buy another acer product.

Charger pin so thin it breaks every 2 days

The pin to connect the charger into the laptop is 3.0mmx1.1 thin as and Engineers pencil lead. A new charger is 30.00 plus tax and shipping ONLY available from ACER so every 2 days I buy a new charger?

Poor service

Not bad!

Minimalist aesthetic and very slim so it can travel easily and if you're a fan of dark blue then this definitely hits the mark. This laptop is great for school, work, and other miscellaneous tasks. It comes with 8 GB of RAM which is more than enough for an entry level laptop, but I wouldn't recommend it for a content creator/streamer, or if you plan on needing/using a lot of RAM. The integrated graphics are decent and you can play some less demanding games on light settings but this is not a laptop you'd want to use for dedicated gaming. Battery life is not bad, I got 10-11 hours with normal use when testing. The charger it comes with is relatively small and helps with the overall portability of the laptop. Also, I very much enjoy the carrying case that came with the computer. It compliments the laptop nicely. The touchscreen is a nice feature but I don't find myself using it all that often. I could see that coming in handy for a student or a teacher who does online classes and needs a touchscreen to write or annotate something in class. That being said, I do wish it came with a 1080p webcam or a 1TB solid state drive. Otherwise, great laptop if it checks all your boxes!

Don't do it
